After Justin dropped me off at home, I opened the front door and walked into my room. I went straight to my bed and breathed in.

I must've fallen asleep again because I opened my eyes again and saw my sister laying down next to me.
»Where were you?«
Hailey asked and put her head on my pillow.
I rubbed my eyes and yawned.
»I was in Detroit and slept at a friends house.«
I answered.
»At a friends house, mhm?«
»You told me to tell Dad that you're with Lia.«
She replied and raised her eyebrows.
»I couldn't say,«
I began to talk.
»Hai tell Dad I'm going to Detroit with a boy I've never hung out alone, I don't know when I'm coming home!«
I added in a different tone.
»You could've at least told me!«
She said.
»I'm telling you now? You're bad at lying.«
I stated with an almost demented voice.
»So tell me, who is he?«
»I tutor him in psychology and he tutors me in music.«
She furrowed her eyebrows.
»Music? Really Harps?«
I rolled my eyes.
»Whatever. His name is Justin.«
She nodded.
»Justin.«
She repeated and began to talk again,
«How come you're hanging out?«
»It just happened, he asked me if I had any plans for the day and I said no.«
Hailey nodded again.
»What did you do?«
»We went to a botanical garden, to the Michigan river and ate at a restaurant, I slept at his house cause we got home at 3AM and I couldn't sneak in anymore. Mom would've heard me while getting ready for work.«
She looked at me with big eyes and smiled.
»Sounds like a date.«
I rolled my eyes and replied,
»That was actually the first time we hung out alone so shut up!«
She furrowed her eyebrows and asked almost stuttering,
»Which is.. mostly, what happens when you date?«
I rolled my eyes again.
»Whatever, it wasn't a date. I don't think we would fit.«
»Why?«
Hailey asked.
»I don't know, he's not a settle-down type of guy but who knows maybe we'll be friends one day.«

I took a small look on my phone and saw a Message from Justin.
»We forgot your voucher Capwell, wanna go back to Detroit next week?«
If I was being honest, I didn't even notice that we forgot my voucher. The day was too perfect.

Hailey took my phone and a smile was plastered on her face.
»Oh it's him!«
I rolled my eyes and made myself comfortable with the blanket again.
»You are so annoying!«
I said after I ripped my phone out of her hand.

»Did Dad buy it?«
She nodded.
»Good! I hate lying to him but he would've told Mom.«
We laid in my bed for a while without talking until we went to the living room. Hailey was watching TV and I was looking through photos for my history presentation.
»That's weird. I can't find any photo of me with Mom and Dad together when I was a baby.«
I turned my head to her and furrowed my eyebrows.
»They're probably in another box!«
Hailey answered but I immediately shook my head.
»Harper why on earth shouldn't you? If I have photos as a baby so do you.«
I shrugged my shoulders and took other photos out of the photo books.
I wanted to make a DNA test for the presentation. I have to pay twenty dollars for that so it better be worth it.

As I was writing on my laptop, I saw the front door opening and my parents walked in with groceries.
»Hey you two!«
My Mom said and looked at my laptop.
»What are you doing?«
She asked and walked over to the kitchen to put the groceries away.
»I'm doing an extra project for history class about how world war 2 affected me.«
She nodded and ate a bread.
»That sounds interesting!«
I nodded back at her and said,
»It is! By the way, I need the DNA of you and Dad!«
My Mom looked at me with big eyes and suddenly chocked on her bread.
»What?«
she asked after coughing for some seconds.
»For what?«
»For my project?«
I answered with a questionable tone and furrowed my eyebrows.
»I think you can do your project without our DNA Harper!«
My eyes got big and I said with a louder voice.
»Are you kidding me?«
»I don't wanna hear anything from you if I won't get an A!«
I added.
