Squished between two redheads I began to feel nauseous, not from the carrot-colored people on each side of me but rather from the lack of food to munch on. We had all shared a joint in my car before the game and I hadn't had a single thing to eat since, my stomach growled as the boys jogged from the bright green field. Loud screams of excitement covered the noise of my hunger but it didn't make it any less apparent so since the band began to form whatever the fuck they had planned for the halftime performance I decided on standing from the cold metal bench.

"Anyone hungry too?" I asked looking from Amelia over to her twin brother Adrien. Both had bright ginger hair and eyes the color of the ocean.

Amelia smiled softly nodding her head, the bangs atop her forehead swayed with the movement. "Yeah," She confirmed. "Could you get me nachos?" She pulled the small faux leather purse into her lap and unzipped it hurriedly finding the money for me, the random coins in the bottom clanked together as she searched through her wallet.

"Yes, mam," I winked snatching the money from her manicured fingers. My fingers were painted too, Amelia being my nail tech but they weren't as precisely painted as hers since she went to a salon for it while I went to her. Hers has painted a pastel green while mine were a baby blue. "Adrien?"

"Nah I'm fine," He yawned. The loud sound of the marching band rang through the stadium and I made my way through the crowds of people on the bleachers, sucking in my stomach and sneaking past the rows as smoothly as possible. I still stumbled a couple of times which was inevitable from the packed benches of people.

As I reached the bottom I made my way over to the snack bar when a familiar boy stood filling his red Hydroflask with water from the drinking fountain. He had on the red and white football uniform, his shoulder much bigger than usual from the padding, and his hair was dampened from sweat a few wild dark strands plastered against his forehead.

I tried to wall quieter since the snack bar was just on the other side of the water fountain, I had even held my breath but alas he must have supersonic hearing since he glanced over at me as I chewed my bottom lip awkwardly. His golden brown eyes widened and the bottle in his hand tipped and fell ito the fountain with a loud clacking noise as metal hit metal.

Time had delayed, and everything surrounding me became a blur as he smiled. It was an effect I knew well as it happened every time that pretty lopsided look of fondness was offered to me. Only Aaron Hart could hold that much power in a simple look and yet I dragged my eyes away from his tall form, gaining the strength to move past him towards the snack bar where the lone had been four people long.

I risked a look back to find him still watching me, he hadn't been smiling anymore and his expression grew tense before he turned away picking his bottle back up and began to fill it once again.

Amelia, Adrien, and I all huddled close with the styrofoam container of nachos on my lap. Fingers belonging to different people all claimed a cheesy chip as their own as we watched the game play out, Adrien had decided to eat the food too despite not helping at all with the cost.

"Why do we go to games?" Adrian grumbled his head on my shoulder as we watched cluelessly at the players running. I shrugged as my eyes followed number 16 as he ran a touchdown, the crowd screamed with excitement, and waves of the red sea of our town flooded the arena. The cheers were deafeningly happy.
