I just never get bored of Death Note, do I? No, I don't. I smile to myself while re- watching the last few episodes of my favourite anime, Death Note. I've never really watched anime or read manga before, but that all changed when Lily, my best friend, forced me to watch the first episode of Death Note together with her during our sleepover a month ago.
We were supposed to have a, uh, study night. Although it turned into a party night in the end. In my defense, there was no way we could have studied in her house! It was filled with food! FOOD~! How can I resist taking a cupcake?
Half way through the night, we got bored and had nothing better to do. Lily started to ramble about how much I'm missing out by not watching anime, again, while I tried my hardest to distract myself by crunching on chips.
And just to be clear, I AM NOT FAT. Even though I do, ahem, eat a lot, my weight is constantly stable and I have a slender figure. You hear that? Slender!
Back to what I was trying to say, Lily literally tied me to a chair and started rummaging through her anime collection and finally selected one. Death Note.
Since I was ten, I've been attracted to mysteries. Lily knew that all too well, and taking the advantage that she secured me to the chair while I was examining the chips bag for crumbs, she forced me to watch the first two episode of Death Note along with her.
To my utter surprise, I loved it. Definitely love at first sight. And for the rest of the night, I finished more than half of the episodes in one go, then bought the anime on the way back home then finished the rest the next day.
Now, sitting crossed legged on my bed, I finished the series again for the seventh time. I also bought the manga, and read through it in two days. Although it left my wallet mournfully empty, it was probably the best decision I've made in my life.
"Cora! Go to sleep now!" mum knocked on my door. "Quick!"
"In ten minutes!" I yell back. It's only 10:00 pm! Too early. Besides, I want to watch the first episode of death note just one more time.
"Alrighty! Just one episode!" lying down, I click the start button of the first episode.
"Yay! Ryuk!" Looking at the shinigami realm, with Ryuk looking bored as hell. Don't worry Ryuk, it'll get interesting very soon. "And there goes Light, listening to the same old news." I'm enjoying this so much even though this would be the eighth time I watched it-
The corner of my new death note poster above my bed flutter. Huh? There's no wind though. I shrug, just continue watch the episode Cora. Thud! What is it this time- I look up, "Mum I'll go to sleep soon-" There's no one at the door, and my books are falling off my bookshelf. Then entire book shelf began to shake, and my desk and bed.
Why the hell do I feel wind in my room?! All my loose paper is flying around the room, and my posters are starting to be ripped off my walls! Something is so fucking wrong- "Ack!" the wind is starting to get stronger! I stand from my chair and stumble, the wind is blowing me back! A blinding white light erupted suddenly, and I feel as if I'm in space with no gravity. I think the light was from the direction of my desk, my laptop? Oh my god I'm going to die young-
"Ow!" I feel a searing pain on my side. Falling on wooden floor sure does hurt... wait. My room has carpet. Not wood. Not WOOD.
I open my eyes and look around, to find twenty or so pairs of eyes staring at me. I stare uncomprehendingly back.
"Sora-san, can you please kindly get back to your seat and stop mucking about?" Sora? My name's Cora, geez! A middle aged man wearing spectacles looks at me sternly.
"Ye-yes sir." stammering, I climb back onto my chair. "Sir, may I please go to the rest room?" I need a quiet place to think-
"Be back quickly." he frowns, but let me go.
"Phew." What the hell was that? I walk quickly towards a direction I assumed is the restroom for no reason at all, and to my surprise, I actually found one.
I am Cora Nakashiro I go to Daikoku Private Academy my parents divorced and my mother refused to let me use the name Cora and entered me as Sora, erasing my records as Cora Nakashiro and giving me the name Sora Nakamura using her surname-
My head is spinning with a load of memories and over flowing information. "Argh!" most of the memories are mine, except for a few things like I live in Japan and I'm now known as Sora- what?! I hold my head in my hands and squat down, waiting for the flow of memories and pain to stop. "Finally..." sorting out what happened, I was watching death note episode one and a mini typhoon occurred in my room. Then the light, then I ended up in that classroom on the floor...?! I got transported?! Okay, calm down Cora, calm down.
Let's go through my new memories. I still have my memories, and then there's another set of memories that flown in just then and is nearly identical as my own except for a few things. So... according to what my new memory tells me, I'm in Japan? I am half Japanese, but I lived in America! So that's different. What the... Let's just go back to what is, according to my new memories, my classroom in my school, Daikoku Private Academy.
Why does that name sound awfully familiar?

......!
Holy. Crap. Isn't this the school...? Ok. A few days ago, because I wanted to know all the things I can know about Death Note and it's characters, I went to the death note wiki and looked at a few people's profile. One is Yagami Light, well duh, he is the main character. Guess what I remember I read in his profile?
'Light is a third year highschool student at Daikoku Private Academy and also...'
Light? Yagami Light is at this school?!
