Castiel, or Cas as he preferred, was just like every bratty popular 12 year old. I mean sure he had his perks and talents as well as his mistakes and flaws, but who doesn't. Everyone expected big things in the sporting industry from him, no one cared that as well as being amazing at basketball he was also pretty intelligent. Not your average dumb jock to be.
Dean, however, was a different story. He preferred reading and drawing to playing sports, weird coming from a former football. He had played football but well he got on the wrong side of the coach and it went downhill from there. There was parts of him that wanted to be his old self again but deep down he enjoyed being a bit of a nerd, I mean it has it's perks too.
Everything was going to change for both Dean and Cas. They were going into first year, at High School, with lots more people. More people to avoid for Dean. More people to compete with for Cas.
