(Cas POV)
He, or Dean as I believe his name to be, was up and out of the door before I could even think of something to say. I stood up, sliding my bag across the table before sauntering out into the hall.
To say it was packed would be a complete understatement. I mean I was lucky I could still breathe. A few of the older basketball team players stopped me as neared the entrance to the 'social space'.
"Novak!" I heard the tallest holler.
What in the name of fuck could you want! I thought as a turned round with my signature smirk plastered on my face.
"You thinkin' of playin' this year?" He asked. Pretty stupid question if you ask me.
A million and one sarcastic answers flew through my head: nah I think I'm trying for the football team, I think dance is more my forte, didn't you hear I'm now world number one figure skater.....
But I simply smiled and relied "Yeah. Coach thinks I'm pretty much in anyways"
They collectively nod and the tallest begins to speak again but I'm no longer focused on him. Behind him can see a tuft of bright red hair and a single apple green eye peering round her.
I quickly avert my eyes and brush off whatever the guys said to me. I quickly apologised using 'first day confusion' as an excuse before they left and I began to look for those mesmerising eyes.
But they weren't to be found.
I looked for them in each class until lunch but to no avail. Green Eyes was an escape artist and there was nothing I could do about it.
Tomorrow form I told myself as I made my way to my last two periods of the day PE - my favourite, and drama.(Dean POV)
I don't think I've ran that fast in years. I grabbed the three amigos on the way out and made a mad dash to the 'social space' before the halls became a shuffling swamp of people.
I burst through the doors of the 'social space' and quickly slid into a seat at a fairly clean looking table.
"Dean, dude, what was up with you back there?" Kevin asked.
"It's nothing....just wanted to beat the traffic!" I joked, but Charlie and Jo were having none of it.
"You know you've been acting weird since form right?" Jo asked.
I shrugged it off as I saw Charlie's brain begin to tic and quickly changed the subject.
"So, um, Charlie have you saw the new Sherlock episode?" I asked trying to distract her.
"Dude, you know Sherlock doesn't have any 'new' episodes!" She replied, extra sass intended.
That's when he entered, all flustered and everything, his bright blue eyes searching for somebody, anybody. Dean, get your head together it's only day one! But quickly a group of older boys got in front of him and the three amigos were trying to gain my attention.
"Earth to Dean, Earth to Dean!" Jo called waving her hand in front of my face.
"Hmmm, what?" I reply, still slightly dazed.
That's when I saw it, the look in Charlie's eyes as she realised what got me so flustered. She leaned in to whisper in my ear and I was able to get a clear shot of blue eyes in the middle of the group. To be totally honest I had no idea what she said to me and that was clearly obvious when she asked if I agreed and I stated at her blankly. She smiled knowingly and turned to the others making small talk.
He, or I think it's Castiel, started to leave the group of boys and was scanning in my direction. Nope, no confrontation today! I thought as I terribly excused myself and made a break toward my next class.
I had always been told I made a run from situations I wanted to avoid. Apparently that's a bad thing. I beg to differ, I mean it's worked for me so far, right? I guess you could say I'm a skilled escape artist.
