(Cas POV)

The entire journey to school was filled with brief chatter then long awkward silences.

"So..um..Cassie, think you'll meet anyone you'll like here?" Gabe asked.

"Gabe, we're not even there yet. Give me a chance." I replied.

Gabe gave an awkward laugh before focusing back on the road.

The school was about fifteen minutes away from our house. The long fifteen minutes of my life.

Eventually we pulled into the car park, I hopped out the car as quickly and easily as i could slipping Gabe a quick "Bye. Enjoy college. Don't you dare forget to pick me up at two thirty dickwad!"

"Wow. Love you too bro!" I heard Gabe shout out the car window as he drove away.

Thanks dickwad, it's not like I wanted to seem cool at all! I thought.

I walked, as if in a trance, towards the student's entrance of the school. Suddenly a car horn was blasted. I whipped my head round and appologised to the woman driving. In the back of the car, which looked like a classic - but I'm no good with cars-, my attention was drawn to a boy who looked about my age, and he had the most vibrant of green eyes which were currently rolling at my pathetic excuse of an apology. Only then did I realise that actually I was still stood in front of the car. I felt my cheeks turn scarlet as I showed another pathetic apology and rushed of towards the door.

Way to go Cas! Make a fool of yourself! This is going to be a disaster!

(Dean POV)

The school was about fifteen minutes away from our house. The drive to the school was loud and kept my mind occupied with Sam asking a hundred and ten questions a minute.

"Bean, are dogs also people?"

"Um, no Sammy I-"

"Bean, can pigs really fly?"

"Um, no Sammy I-"

"Bean, is Batman your favourite?"

"Um, yeah Sammy he-"

"Bean, can we play hides later?"

"um, yeah Sammy I-"

"Bean, can I go to the big school with you?"

"Um, no Sammy you-"

"Bean, can-"

Mum blasted the horn at some popular wanna be who we nearly hit in the school car park. Oh God we're in the school car park! It's nearly time! I began to panic.

And then I noticed the most beautiful of blue eyes staring at me, well more at my mum, making the most pathetic apology ever. I rolled my eyes at the stupid brat. Why hadn't he moved already? I looked up to see the eyes staring again, and this time actually at me. What was a popular kid doing staring at a first year dork like me? I noticed his cheeks go scarlet before he flashed another pathetic apology before rushing towards the entrance.

Mum pulled into a space and I leaned over and gave her a quick kiss before ruffling Sam's hair and hopping out the car.

"Enjoy your day honey," mum said, "and try make some friends." she whispered. I gave her a soft smile and laughed at Sammy trying to fix his hair in the back of the car.

I took off in the direction of the entrance. I just entered into the busy social space as the bell rang, everybody dispersed in a whirlwind. All the new first years were easily spotted as we stood shocked and then quickly left to tried find our form classes.
