Marinette listened to Emily attentively. "I was walking with your mom me and her were best friends from school days", Emily said smiling.

"And you know my condition of my house was terrified so Sabine let me stay with you guys", Emily said looking at marinette.

Marinette shaked her head "yes" to justify that it was true. "So when I moved in you were 17 years old, and one night I heard screaming and I got up and I heard it from your room. So I went there and opened the door a bit. What I saw terrified me, they were-", Emily couldn't finish her sentence.

A tear dropped from her eyes and she got a flashback of the scene of Marinette being raped by the men surrounding her.

Marinette held Emily's hand tightly. Emily looked at Marinette and continued on. "They were raping you and you were screaming but your screams were muffled because of the cloth in your mouth. And I just stood there I was paralyzed. I wanted to do something but I couldn't move for some unknown reason.", She said as she looked at cat with a sad expression.

Cat understood how the story from her side came together with the story Marinette told him, and he understood that she was telling the truth.

She continued, "I just ran back to my room, still hearing your muffled screams. I could barely sleep knowing those guys were hurting you. The next morning you weren't yourself and I could tell because I knew what happened. You tried to play it off as you just being tired but I knew what was really going on. And you went for revenge, I would have to but revenge just went disaster for you. I felt so sorry for you when I heard everyone saying you were a witch cause I knew it wasn't true, you were just trying to clear your name. But no one understood not even your parents understood. I wanted to help you so I had to find you, until one day I heard that you were dead. I was heart broken I couldn't stand being in this town anymore, I just wanted to disappear because I let you die, I couldn't have helped you in some kind of way but I didn't. I blamed myself for your death every single day of my life", Emily finished with a cry.

Marinette hugged her tightly and started crying with her. Cat felt bad so he hugged them. Cat now understood the whole story and he felt terrible about how his dad acted with Marinette, but he was willing to fix it and clear Marinette's name, even if it meant dying in the end. At least Marinette would be safe. All he was worried about was keeping Marinette safe, he was gonna keep her safe and clear her name even if he had to do it himself.
