To be in love.

Elya could remember Damion and how her heart beat for a first love but it was nothing compared to how her heart beat now. All of the beats of her heart were quick and fast that made her feel like soaring. She felt electric and warm; butterflies erupted at the mere sight of his green eyes.

Her love for Damion had been a small fluttering compared to what she felt now and for Jaime Lannister. She realized that a first love was special in its own right but this...this soaring was forever.

That couldn't have felt more true the day after her wedding. She awoke first and she laid in bed before combing gently through the blond messy specks of hair over his forehead. Eventually his vibrant green eyes fluttered open and she started to smile.

It was that adorable, dimpled smile and the first thing Jaime felt was how his heart skipped a beat. Gods. If this was to be his morning every morning, he'd gotten more than he deserved.

He reached out and caressed her cheek softly, "If I didn't know any better, I'd say this was a dream."

Her fingers crawled up his wrist as her smile became teasing, "So you dream about me?"

"Don't be so surprised," he shook his head before he smirked. "And I'm sure I've occupied at least one of your dreams...I just have to get you to admit it."

"Never," she grinned before she kissed him.

All thoughts died in his head except for the feeling of her soft lips. He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her flush against him. His fingers crawled up her spine, making her skin feel hot and electric as they continued to kiss each other raw. Although they didn't know it, their hearts beat in time with the other.

One heart, one flesh, one soul. Vows that couldn't have been more true. It was like their love was what existed only in tales.

When they did finally have to get up that morning, she sat at the table breaking her fast. Jaime had to quickly eat because he had a meeting his father and he now stood struggling to buckle the red leather of his shirt together with only his one hand.

He was getting quite an agitated look on his face before she stood up and walked over to him. She gently took his hand and moved it to his side before getting to work on the buckles herself. He still wouldn't look at her; he looked ashamed as he spoke quietly, "I could've figured it out."

She looked up at her golden lion as she already clasped the final buckle. She placed a hand on his cheek as she smiled softly, "I am your wife. It's my job to soothe what ails you."

              "I thought that was mine?"

"It's both of ours," she stared up at him with her gray-blue gracious eyes and he was a goner.

Jaime leaned down and pressed his forehead against hers as he whispered, "I love you."

                  She smiled, "And I you."

He kissed the smile on her lips before he lifted her up, wrapping her legs around his waist. He carried her to the table and set her down, pushing plates to the ground. He attached his lips to her neck as he hiked up her nightgown.

"Jaime," she uttered breathlessly as her hands traveled up his arms. "You have a meeting."

"It can wait..." he sucked on the delicate skin of her neck as they got lost in one another. Again.
