Meanwhile in Halloween Town, the mayor woke up early in the morning.

When he visited the holiday leader's house, the Pumpkin King, the mayor made a scene.

Jack Skellington was not home or has not been home in the town all night.

The mayor was desperate. He summons all the citizens of Halloween Town for the emergency meeting.

A short emergency meeting to be precise.

All the creepy residents are confused about the missing Pumpkin King.

They meet the mayor in the town plaza square.

The mayor grabbed the megaphone from his vehicle. He was solemn. "Everyone in Halloween Town! This is the first time in the holiday history that our leader is gone!" The mayor shouts.

The whole townsfolk gasped in a fright.

The mayor was quivering with dread. He was only the elected official of Halloween Town. Even he is the mayor, he just can't do anything by himself. "We have got to find Jack! There's only three-hundred and sixty-five days left until next Halloween!" The mayor exclaimed.

The werewolf raised his left paw. He had four fingers showing to the mayor. "Three-hundred and sixty-four days left until next Halloween!" The werewolf corrected in his exclamation.

The mayor sighed. He tries his best to look at everyone. "We must check out everywhere in the town! This emergency meeting is adjourned! We shall hurry now and find our Pumpkin King!" The mayor exclaims.

In the flash, the residents of Halloween Town began to look for Jack Skellington.

They have been searching all morning.

Unfortunately, no one has found the Pumpkin King.

The citizens and the mayor returns to the town plaza square.

The mayor gripped the megaphone again from his vehicle. He was gloomy. The mayor faced from creepy person-to-creepy person. "Clown, where did you look in?" The mayor asked.

The clown was mystified. He shrugged. "I looked in every mausoleum. Jack's not in any of them." The clown answered.

The mayor glanced at the two women. "Witches, where did you go thru on your search?" He wonders.

The couple of witches are perplexed. They are shrugging their shoulders. "We haven't. We merely opened the sarcophagi." The two witches said in unison in their replies.

The mayor shook his head in disappointment. He surveys the crowd. "Ahh, is Mister Hyde present around here?" The mayor asks.

The entire audience are glancing at each other. They are baffled about Mister Hyde. He hasn't even come back from the search yet.

The harlequin demon turns its back. It heard someone's peculiar footsteps. The harlequin demon was puzzled. "I hear Mister Hyde is back." It confirmed in its answer.

They all looked at the odd man. Mister Hyde was walking like he had something on his foot.

Apparently, Mister Hyde was stepping forward silly with the pumpkin on his left foot. He stopped afterwards.

Everyone, including the mayor, was confused at the poor top hat man.

Mister Hyde took a deep breath. He was glum. "I stepped thru the pumpkin patch." Mister Hyde explained.

The mayor was bewildered. "And Jack?" The mayor wondered.

Mister Hyde shook his head. He was still glum. "Sorry, no sign of Jack." Mister Hyde replied.
