"Come on, Five, we've got to get to the meeting!"
Once a month, the team would come together for a meeting in order to keep things in peace and degree new orders for the isle's. As well as this, orders on any suspicious activity either near where villains were kept imprisonment or areas never to be suspected before. However, Five Hargreeves seemed to be late to this one, thanks to all the night patrols he had during the month. "Five, come on!" Nicky exclaimed. "Okay, I'm coming! I've had night patrols, I'm tired and I haven't had my morning coffee!" Five yelled back, tying his right shoe.
He then straightened his jacket and came running out of the cabin he shared with Nicky and Maisie, next door to Izuku Midoriya's cabin and where the Smurf's new home was kept, the other side, not too far. He only stopped to hear his little niece exclaim, "Smoke, smoke!" as she clapped her hands. Five quickly became alert and took a bucket of water that was in a shed near him. He ran up to where the smoke was and threw the water on it, however, it was actually Miss Hardbroom. It turns out she was the one who set the smoke off, Maisie and Dusk had discussed that they wanted the others to be more alert and come running to the base if there was an emergency. Five had done what they wanted but not exactly how it should have been.
"Five!" Maisie exclaimed, taking the bucket from him. "That was Miss Hardbroom, she and Miss Cackle were visiting to help with trying to make you all more alert when something dangerous could happen." She then gestured to the rest of the team coming out of the cabin, where those meetings would be held and where they would discuss their plan of action against dangerous things. "I just heard Eli exclaiming smoke and I reacted." Five muttered at a level only Maisie could hear. "Well, it was nice but next time, maybe try and see what the problem is before reacting. You never heard of think before you leap?" The girl sighed, before pecking his cheek and telling him to go and stand with the others.
"As suspected by that boy's behaviour. You have claimed a tricky one, Maisie Potter. As well as one who could be bareable bait to such creatures." Miss Hardbroom said, with a serious expression upon her face. Maisie always thought of her to be just like Severus Snape, who was a teacher that her father had when he was her age and turned out that he had some affections with her deceased grandmother and a rivalry with her deceased grandfather. It was a shame she could never meet him since he had tragically died in the war her father, mother and other relatives fought in. "Now, Heacte, I'm sure Five and Nicky are quite wonderful. After all, they are with one of our best witches." Miss Cackle reassured, patting HB's shoulder before she and Maisie shared a sweet smile together.
Five made his way over to where Nicky and Izuku were standing, a certain blonde eyeing with a glare. "Five Hargreeves, the most heroic boy in the team." She sniggered. "At least, I'm not the most selfish witch." Five spat back at her. The blonde was called Ethel Hallow, she was a friend of Maisie's at Cackles Academy which was the magic school that the girl attended to help with her powers. However, Ethel wasn't like Maisie's other friends, Maud, Enid or Mildred. She came from a well-known witching family who, like Maisie's father Harry, had high up places in the Ministry of Magic. Her sisters were more on the kinder side, but Ethel, she was not. She found herself more superior than the other witches around her, wanting to be the best and only the best. It was a surprise to the others of how Maisie even ended up being friends with Ethel, but glad to see someone who could maybe warm that "cold heart" as they say.
Ethel, Maud, Mildred and Enid were able to meet the team, a few days after the birth of Eliana Gallagher. However, it seemed to everyone that Ethel and Five did not get along. No one knew why they didn't, not even Maisie. Dusk always said that they seemed to be the same person due to their snarky personality and prideful matter but the two always denied it. So, the only thing they could do is keep the two apart.
