Warning!

The room went silent at that, even the Council members' eyes flew open at me. Did I say something wrong? It wasn't until Miss High Priestess stood up with anger and disgust that I physically took a step back. "Y-you are a Miako? Sena and Akui Miako had a c-child?" Her voice shook and confusion was evident on my face, and I saw the same look of confusion on Scarlet's face. What really worried me was the faces on both my Queen and Stella. Queen Valerie held a face of shock but also, sympathy. But Stella? Absolute horror. I swallowed a knot in my stomach and turned back to Auntie Dearest. "U-uh... How... d-do you know my parents' names?"

Her face turned into such ugly rage, I thought she could've killed me with her look, and she turned that look onto Stella. "This is who you're protecting?! The spawn of the monster who got Astelle killed?!?" Stella seemed to break at that, tears cascaded down her cheeks as she turned to her aunt. "I-I...She...- She isn't her parents! She had nothing to do with Mom!" My stomach fell, the world got blurry. My hands started to shake and memories of my parents rushed into my head. Confusion filled my brain. What are they talking about? What did my parents do? What is going on?

"She embodies EVERYTHING we hate! A vampire is bad enough! But also the daughter of the Red Priestess!? The woman who RAISED her got my sister killed!!" The Council members demanded for silence, while my world fell apart at my feet. Scarlet turned to me, holding my elbow to keep me up. "But that's impossible. My parents were humans, there is no way my Mom could've been a wit-" I couldn't even finish my sentence as bile rose up my throat. It took a couple of minutes for the Council members to regain control of the situation and silence. They all turned their gaze to me and as if they had all mutually decided, one spoke for them all. "Despite the pedigree, there is no way Ms. Fiona can be blamed for actions that occurred before her time. Her case has nothing to do with her parents. Miss Scarlet Everly, proceed with the case."

She cleared her throat, clearly nervous after the former altercation while I sat down. "Of course. Council members, we thank you for the opportunity to speak with you all. We stand before you asking that you keep war at bay. The High Priestess of the Royal Coven, the most powerful coven in the United States, has a bias against vampires and especially against my dearest friend. I will not allow Fiona to continue living a life having to constantly look over her shoulder, whether it be from her parents or witches. Witches have abused their favoritism and they've pushed a line. I hope to leave this courtroom with only one victory; peace. If High Priestess Beatrix Flores remains in power, I do not mind. I simply wish for there to be restrictions on who she attacks."

At that, Beatrix walks up to the stage and maintains a good distance from me. "Council. I ask for Fiona Miako to be executed, by your hands or mine are your choice. She has been feasting on humans left and right, attacking them and killing them. She is in my territory, I see it unfair for her to be let go when she is a menace." The Council members turn to Queen Valerie, the male vampire speaking up. "If she has been feasting outside of protocol, that is the responsibility of Queen Valerie." She steps forward and turns to look at me. "I must admit to you Council, I did not know of Fiona's existence until a little over a week ago. She is a taboo vampire, turned against her wishes by Scarlet Everly and was kept secret from me. The punishment and responsibility falls upon Miss Everly, which I have already given a fitting punishment.

"Despite the unorthodox process, Scarlet has assured me that Fiona has not stepped out of protocol. She feasted until the human was dead, she dumped the evidence, and those who did not die were thoroughly wiped clean of the encounter, by Fiona and at times the assistance of Scarlet." The Council members shared a look and the male vampire spoke up. "I trust you are not lying. But are you 100% sure? Is there a possibility that Miss Everly wasn't there during one of Miss Fiona's feasts? It seems improbable for Miss Everly to have been there every time." Scarlet turned to look at me, just for a second before turning back to the Council. "I find that question reasonable. There is always the possibility that I missed some of her outings. For that, I request a memory search. With consent of course."
