" His business is my business, so either you tell me what's going on or I set your pants on fire. "

~ Silas's POV ~

It was a little late at night and my friends were almost all asleep, which wasn't something out of ordinary, the only ones that usually stay up later than usual is Robin and Lisa but everyone else always falls asleep quickly.
Considering it was just us three awake, I wanted to call Bruce and see if he was actually awake still, and if he is then he could come over for the sleepover.

I doubt that he's awake since he always falls asleep early and wakes up early but it would be a nice try, I wanted to invite him over earlier but he was at baseball practice and I didn't want to distract him or anything so I just invited the others.
Although I'm sure that he isn't going to come in the middle of the night, I wanted to see him and would probably end up biking over there just to hang out with him, alone.

As the phone began to ring, I wrapped my finger around the cord and looked to my sides just to make sure nobody was around, I didn't need them making fun of me because I couldn't go a day without talking or seeing Bruce.
My hopes were deflating by the second but suddenly someone answered and I felt as if my soul left my body, what if it was his parents that answered his landline instead of him? What am I going to say?

    "Hello?"

A groggy voice answered, all the little doubts were washed away after that, Bruce was asleep and had woken up just to answer my call, now I'm starting to feel bad, again.

"I'm sorry, it's Silas, I shouldn't have called you at this time, I'm sorry Bruce."

I apologized, I didn't want him to get cranky in the morning, sometimes I do things without thinking and this was one of those times.

"Don't worry about that Sisi, is everything okay?"

Bruce asked, you could hear him fix himself as he sat up on his bed, I smiled knowing that he cares for me even though it's just in a friendship kind of way and not in a relationship kind of way.
Either way, he cares for me and that's more than enough for me and my very big heart.

"I wanted to invite you earlier to a sleepover but you were at baseball practice, so I thought you maybe wanted to come over right now or we can go get something to eat?"

The words rapidly fell out of my mouth and it seemed as if I wasn't breathing but I was, just very quietly and also very little bit since breathing sometimes disrupts your sentences.
I waited for a little bit, I knew that Bruce was trying to weight out the pros and cons of the situation so I just waited for him to break the silence rather than me break it.

"We can meet up at a twenty-four hour mini market and grab some snacks to bring back to the sleepover, does that sound alright with you?"

Bruce suggested, obviously I accepted the idea and then hung up the phone before quietly walking up the stairs and rushing to my bedroom to change out of my shorts and shirt, I wanted to wear something comfortable but not embarrassing.
I decided to go with some light blue sweatpants and a white muscle shirt that was cropped before grabbing a dark blue zip up sweater, I grabbed my socks and put them on my bare feet before putting my sneakers on.

Once I looked decent enough to see Bruce, I walked down the stairs and looked around to make sure everyone was either asleep or doing their own thing that was nowhere near me, I happily walked outside of my house and closed the door.
I grabbed my bike and got on, pedalling as fast I can to go to the mini market, I felt almost as if I were an idiot to be excited to see someone that was totally out of my league but I didn't want to think about that at the moment.

I saw Bruce waiting for me by his bike, I got off of my bike and tied it up before walking over to him and pulling him into a nice warm hug, he hugged me back before walking inside of the market with me.
We always split up though to grab more snacks and make the shopping much more quicker, I was zoning out every noise known to humanity as I grabbed the drinks and placed them in the hand holding cart.

Once I grabbed the rest of my drinks, I looked around to check where Bruce had went since that kid could disappear anywhere, it was pretty quiet in the market until some voices where beginning to be loud.
One of them sounded like Bruce, a lot like his actually, maybe I should check it out and make sure everything is okay over where he is at.

    "Bruce?"

I asked as I turned the corner, I was right, it was Bruce and like two other guys but they didn't look like they were friends, but a blind person could see that.

    "What's going on here?"

I questioned again, this time going by Bruce's side, one of the boys looked at me as they rolled their eyes and scoffed.

"How about you mind your damn business?"

The boy spoke out, I looked at Bruce and scoffed as my lips curled up into a small smile.

" His business is my business, so either you tell me what's going on or I set your pants on fire. "

I retorted, but before anyone could say anything, Bruce grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the boys, he didn't say much as we walked to the cashier so I didn't press on the situation.
But nobody is gonna tell me to mind my damn business when they're having an issue with one of my friends, it's just not ever going to happen.
