~ Silas's POV ~

Today is a Friday, I love Fridays a lot because they are the entrance to either a good weekend or a bad one, either way it means that I don't have to worry about school for two days and get to relax my mind and body from whatever it's been through this past week.
I don't go through anything mainly because I keep my head down and mind my damn business, but also because I think making sure that I'm not failing any of my classes is more important than worrying about drama and issues like some of the kids in my school.

Which is weird considering it's usually the boys, the girls enter highschool and realize they're too mature for this shit and just stop fighting over things that don't matter, I obviously took notice of this and made sure that I did the same thing so I didn't seem like a drama filled person.
Minding my business is something I'm very good at, I know how to pretend that I do not know you and how to act as if I didn't see anything therefore you can't ask me or tell me anything.

I don't like being added in issues but I will add myself in them if my friends are involved, I'll do some hesitation and try to say no but at the end of the day, I'll always have their backs and make sure they know it as well.
Anyways, I was at lunch, just eating an apple because I had a big breakfast and I knew that I wasn't going to be hungry during lunch but I still ate the breakfast anyways because yes.

I was waiting for Lisa to come back from hanging out with Vance as he told me a week earlier that he was going to ask Lisa to the homecoming dance knowing that she really wanted to go, Vance isn't much of a prom or dance type of guy but he would do it just for Lisa.
When he explained this to me, my heart melted knowing he was going to step out of his comfort zone just to enter his crush's comfort zone, that is a thoughtful thing to do.

"You looking very lonely right now dude."

I looked up and smiled as Bruce sat down beside me with an orange in his hand, I only laughed because I didn't realize that I was looking very lonely and almost as if I had no friends.
But Bruce to the rescue to save me from getting picked on by anyone who thinks not having friends or eating lunch alone weird, which by the way, it's really not.

"Pretty sure everyone's off to go shopping for the homecoming or planning on asking someone to the dance, that's why I'm alone right now."

I explained, in hopes that it didn't make me seem any less lonely but the minute that the sentence had left my mouth, it seemed as if I was single and lonely, and in desperate need of love revival.
Don't you hate it when you're trying to justify that you don't feel a certain way that everyone keeps insisting that you're feeling but your attitude, tone and words decide to not help you out in this case? Cause that is what's happening with me right now.

"Sounds pretty lonely to me Sisi, but speaking of homecoming, did anyone ask you yet?"

Bruce asked me, I felt a little embarrassed knowing that he probably got asked out by a bunch of girls and I have been avoiding most of the boys like crazy because I wanted him to ask me, even though I'm going with Robin because I know Bruce said yes to someone, I still had hope.
So, I told the truth and told him that if the month is finished and I haven't gotten a date yet, I would be going with Robin as friends because he doesn't want to go with any of the girls that are weird.

By weird, I mean always say something out of line and make him feel uncomfortable, which is something that I totally get and totally understand.

"Well, how about we go together? What color are you going in?"

Bruce asked me, I had to process what was going on before realizing that Bruce Yamada had asked me to the homecoming dance and wanted to match as well.
That was just insane to me, but I agreed to going to the dance with him and told him I was going in a lilac colored dress before getting up from the table and running out of the cafeteria, in search of my best friends.

"Oh my goodness! He asked you to the homecoming dance?!"

Donna shrieked, causing Finney to move a little bit from her so she can calm down, I nodded my head as Lisa looked at me with the biggest smile on her face.
Both girls began to ask me multiple questions but the main one was how did the topic come up and if I was calm throughout the asking.

" I don't how! It just sort of happened, I mean we were talking about homecoming and he just popped the question! "

I squealed back, I just couldn't believe that Bruce Yamada, the prettiest boy in the whole school, the one that girls are literally drooling over, asked me to the dance.
This feels like a dream and if it is, I do not ever want to wake up from it.
