A few days after suspecting windstorms and alien invasions, the Wild Boys had since continued their studies. They were in their first class of the day, which is English when Roger felt a sharp stab on his stomach. "Roger, you alright?" Chris asked in concern. "Does it look like I'm alright? It felt like I'm stabbed," Roger said as another wave of pain hit him. "Do you wanna go to the nurses' office?" Kate asked. "Nah, I think I could make it through the day, it's probably just a bug," Roger said, brushing off another wave of pain. "I don't think so," John said. "Look, I know it's been a while since you guys last studied so can you please adjust for a bit? You have to study until upper sixth next year," Mr McCartney said. Everyone remained silent after that.
It is now Chemistry and Roger felt worse, the pain in his stomach isn't going away. "Roger, if you're feeling this bad, you need to go to the nurses," Chris said, concerned about his boyfriend. "Yeah, you're probably showing signs of appendicitis and it's not good," Kate said. "Yeah, Kate's right, I'll allow you off my class until you're better so please, see the nurse and ask for a sick note," Ms Harry suggested. "And John, did you keep the pH strips like I asked you to?" Ms Harry asked. "Yeah, they're in my room," John answered. "Good," Ms Harry said before continuing the lesson. "Oh, you can take Roger to the nurse's office," Ms Harry said. Chris thanked her and then helped Roger walk to the nurse's office. But they were only halfway when Roger began screaming in pain.
"Does it hurt that bad?" Chris asked. "Very, make it stop, Chris," Roger said as the pain continued. That's when he vomited in the hallway, it's the same green and blue vomit back at camp only this time, there's red in it. "Christ, Kate was right about appendicitis, we gotta get you to the hospital at this point," Chris said, attempting to pick up Roger which gave him more pain. "Errrrr, okay, wait here, I'll make a run to the nurses' office," Chris said before leaving. Roger noticed Chris' healing powers trying to heal his appendix but nothing worked and the pain got even worse. Chris returned with a sick note and had the nurse call 999 because Roger's condition was an emergency. "Okay, I got the sick note and told the nurse to call the ambulance because you're very sick," Chris said as Roger nodded.
Little did he know, Chemistry class is over and it's time for lunch and the Wild Boys had already come out of the lab and ran up to him and a sick Roger. "How's he?" Curt asked. "He got worse, the nurse called the ambulance, it's very bad," Chris said. Kate felt Roger's forehead and checked for fever, he was very hot. "His fever is very high," Kate said. Soon, paramedics arrived and were trying to push through a lot of teenagers. "What the hell is going on?" Evie yelled out. "It's Roger, he's ill," Curt yelled back. "Yeah, but they didn't have to push us," Gary said. "It's an emergency goddammit! Can't you see that he's in pain?" Chris yelled out. "Lad, lad, calm down," Jim said, attempting to calm Chris down. "Chris, it's not gonna help if you keep yelling at Gary," Nick said.
Soon the paramedics arrived as Chris guided them to Roger who was in so much pain. He had tears in his eyes and was clutching his stomach. "Kiddo, what's your name?" One paramedic asked. "Roger, Roger Taylor," Roger weakly replied. "He's showing signs of appendicitis," Kate said. "Where does it hurt, Roger?" The other paramedic asked. Roger pointed on the right side of his stomach which made the paramedics know he had appendicitis. "Okay lad, we're gonna take you to the hospital, is that okay with you?" The paramedic asked as Roger nodded. The paramedics got Roger into the gurney before wheeling him to the ambulance through a crowd of students. Chris just followed the paramedics because he didn't want Roger to be alone.
"You guys continue your studies and you can visit the hospital after school's over, I'll need to go with Roger. We'll meet at the hospital," Chris said before running after the paramedics. "Now I'm starting to get worried," John said. "Yeah, I hope his operation goes well or something," Andy said. "We'll talk more about this at lunch, for now, we gotta get out of this crowd," Curt said, trying to push through a flood of students. It wasn't until one of the students accidentally pulled his nasal cannula. "Ah, my nasal cannula!" Curt exclaimed, though his nasal cannula was still in. "At least yours is secured at the back of your head like a baby in the NICU, someone pulled mine and it almost landed on the floor," John said, trying to put on his nasal cannula with one hand while the other held on to Andy.
