chapter two

                                       3RD POV

"so, y/n, how are you liking the party so far?" drea says, as y/n and her walk away from their friend group. "it's fun, i just wished allegra could get the fuck out though. how do you like it dre?" y/n exclaims. they continue their conversation, until they walk into the house.

'if you haven't already gleaned, our friends were born into this life. but we were more... diy. and before you judge me for caring about status, everyone cares about status. we just knew how to turn the dream into reality. in this moment, we finally felt we belonged. we spent seventeen(17) years meticulously curating the perfect life. and now that we had it, nobody was going to take it away from us.'

drea and y/n are standing up on the platform, as the crowd is squealing and cheering for them. the twins are talking as the plan how to start the toast. "yayy." sage says monotonously. "clap more! clap! more!" arianna yells as she's clapping. "stopp!" drea says as all her friends are recording her and y/n. "thank you so much to everyone for being here! and thank you to tara, for throwing us this gorgeous party." drea says as tara says "you're welcome" while everyone else cheers for her. "and meghan! miss editor extraordinaire! this thorn piece means do much to us. really." y/n adds on to their sister's beginning.

"so, we actually wanted to take this opportunity to, um.." drea trails off as y/n cuts off and finishes. "actually, allegra! where's allegra?" they say as allegra(😐) announces herself. "hey babe, you look incredible tonight. really. i love your little spider.. hat.. thingy. it's so.. big! so, allegra and us have been working on this super cool project. oh my god! no don't film us! film allegra!" y/n starts up again as everyone moves their cameras to allegra. "so, after telling her about our church's clothing drive, she generously pledged to donate her entire wardrobe to low income women in need, tomorrow! at the salvation army!" they finish, as allegra looks round shocked as the cameras are recording her. drea starts to finish for them, "everyone give it up for allegra! right!? love you boo, so proud to know you!"

"I LOVE YOU DREA!" arianna screams out. drea smiles at her as y/n spots a special someone. "so do i." mystery boy annunciates. everyone clears the way, as he is revealed as max broussard, drea's boyfriend. "hey, dre." he says, with happiness in his voice. "apologies, for my lateness everyone. i was just putting the finishing touches on my surprise. we good elliot?" max finished as he handshakes elliot. "oh absolutely man. in three, two, one." as elliot is done talking, fireworks go off. y/n felt they weren't for them, but since it was their birthday too, they shook that thought away.

max leans into drea, as she looks back at them. "everybody,let's all raise our glasses to drea and y/n torres, and to their bright future. y/n looks at the crowd and as they look back at the couple, they are kissing passionately. they move back and put their hands out at them almost like they're bowing during a curtain call of a show.

"hey, y/n, me and dre are gonna go hang, is that good?" max asks. "yeah of course! i was just gonna hang out with tara and the other twins! have fun maxie!" y/n says as max ruffles their hair and walks away. they think of each other as siblings, so nobody thinks it's weird and if anyone says anything, probably sage, they will get yelled at until they think otherwise. "hey, y/nn! how are you?" tara says, as she sees y/n walking over to her. "hey, tar, im gonna go home, okay? i'm kind of tired of the party not gonna lie, not that i don't like it, it's amazing! it's just, i'm tired and would like to be alone for a bit, okay?" y/n explains as tara nods. "of course, honey, take whatever time you need! i'm glad you enjoyed though!" as y/n is walking away they make a heart symbol(🫶) at tara to show they love her.

as y/n gets home, they go into their room and start to play music. they hit shuffle and dumb dumb by mazie starts playing. after the song ends, they decide to go to bed. once drea gets home, she calls out for her sibling, and once she gets no response, she goes into y/n's room, she kisses them on the head, and goes into her room to fall asleep as well.
