"eleanor! it's gonna be fine! my entire life i've been a chameleon! sometimes, you have to pretend to be another person to get what you want!" drea says to eleanor. "do you ever worry that you'll lose yourself?" eleanor asked drea.

"oh my god don't be so dramatic! all i'm asking you to do is disassociate from your body and be someone you're not so these popular kids, will invite you to their group." drea said, kinda quickly. "are you in therapy?" eleanor asked. "god no, why?" "...cool. and we're not concerned max will realize we are manipulating him?"

"narcissists are too busy thinking of themselves to realize they're being played." drea says.

"drea, when the hell can i see?" y/n asked on the phone with drea. they are at rosehill, in the courtyard, waiting for eleanor and drea to meet up with them. "oh my god, y/n you'll see soon!" "when the hell is soon!?" drea and y/n argued over the phone.

'getting a girl's attention requires weeks if not months of work. so, according to drea, getting a guys attention requires you walking past them once looking vaguely slutty. i was just trying to find y/n, and all of a sudden i had two guys staring. great.'

'i swear if eleanor or drea don't come soon-' y/n's thoughts get cut off when they get a text from eleanor.

'she's so sweet.' y/n thought, starting to look around for eleanor.

"JESUS!" y/n yelled out, getting scared. people looked at for five seconds, then looked away. y/n turned around, but then their head got pushed back forward. "close your eyes. then i'm going to count to three, and show you. okay?" eleanor asked, as y/n picked her voice out and nodded.

"okay, one. two. three!"

when eleanor said three, y/n's eyes shot open, and their jaw dropped. literally. they had to pick it up off the floor and- nah jkjk im not funny ik😭. their jaw did drop though. "w-wow um el-e-eleanor you're um- uh- you're really beautiful. sorry- i- uh- speak? um..." y/n stuttered and stumbled over their words. "haha! you're funny, y/n. thank you." eleanor said, and pulled them into a hug. then eleanor did something y/n will never forget. "i love you y/n." eleanor said, then she kissed y/n on both of their cheeks. it was adorable. "okay, gotta go, hun! i love you!" eleanor sort of shouted. "i love you too, nell!" y/n shouted back(always gotta add the i man).
