Sarah's POV

I groaned in my sleep as the continuous ringing of my phone disturbed my rest.

"Uhh, stop, God, please give me some peace with these nightmares. I can't even sleep properly now because of this phone call." I said, covering my ears with a pillow but soon realized I wasn't going to get any more sleep anyway. I picked up the call. It was Sagar. "Why the hell is he calling me at seven in the morning?" I answered the call and was shocked to hear his crying voice from the other side.

"Sa...Sara...Sarah, I am...I am...I need..." he tried to talk while crying profusely.

"What the... what happened??? Sagar, calm down and tell me where you are, okay? I will come right away, then we can talk. Tell me where you are at least? Please, Sagar," I said, really worried after hearing him cry. My heart became painful just because of his cries. "Oh God, please, I... I can't see anyone else of my people in pain. It's enough just with me, isn't it?"

"I...I...I am...we are at Seema's school, principal's office."

"What are you doing there!? No...no, wait a minute, I am coming there right away. Please, until then calm down, okay? I am coming right away," I said, getting off the bed hurriedly. I just washed my face and put on some clothes.

Picking up my bag and car key, I went directly to the parking lot. I started my car and drove off as fast as I could. "I wonder what he is doing at his sister's school and why he was crying like that? I am really freaked out, gosh. I just hope everything is..."

I was driving at eighty. I don't usually drive this fast, but today it was for my people. While driving, I called my secretary to let her know about my absence.

"Neha, reschedule today's meeting. I am going out."

"But Suru, you know it's with Ms. Leena. It can help the business grow more."

"I know, Neha, but I really have to go now. I know you can manage, Neha. Please," I said, cutting the call and checking the time.

"I need to hurry. Fast, Sarah, you can do it." I drove all the way to the school, which normally takes half hour, but I reached within ten minutes. I ran into the school and went to the principal's office on the third floor. There I saw Sagar and his sister Seema, sitting on a bench outside the office, crying and holding each other. I ran towards them. As soon as they saw me, they both hugged me like I was their last hope. I patted their backs putting my bag aside, trying to console them.

"Okay...okay, everything will be alright now that I am here. Now tell me what happened?" I asked them gently.

Sagar told me everything while crying and choking. I listened to everything, and by the end, I clenched my fist with fury in my eyes.

"So why did the principal call you here instead of settling in court?" I asked through gritted teeth.

"Yes, didi. We don't know what to do? I am...I am really scared, di. I... I... I am scared. Can...can I still go to school now? His family is really strong. We won't be able to win against him. I just lost hope, didi. What should I do?" Seema said, crying pitifully. She had some bruises on her head, lips, and hands. Some skin on her face was also bruised.

"Don't worry, I am here. I will take care of everything. And you, Sagar, you should take care of her rather than crying. Now be strong, don't show yourself weak in front of them. Do you get it? Take some deep breaths, dry your tears. Let's go in." I said to them, looking at the office door. But I stopped, realizing something. "Wait a minute," I said, opening my bag and putting my hand into it to do something before taking it out. "Let's go in now." I took both of them into the principal's office. Sagar and Seema were both scared. They didn't have their father, only their mother. They hadn't told her about this yet.
