Chapter XXXV

"Mama, I don't see daddy. When is he coming?", Natalia whined as we waited for the arrival doors to open. "Be patient my minion, you'll see him as soon as the doors open", I whispered to her as I held on tighter to Nathan's hand. "Someone is getting impatient", Zahra said while looking at Natalia with a smile. As usual, I was with Zahra and Aziz, only this time around we came with two cars because Hafeez was also with him and since we were living in different directions it was easier to have two cars than one. The doors finally opened and suddenly Natalia was out of my hand running towards a smiling Abdul. "Daddy!", she screamed making people around us laugh. "Hey princess. You missed me?", he asked kissing her cheeks and making her giggle. Nathan finally saw him and ran to him too. He carried both of them leaving me with Hafeez. "Waoh! I'm jealous right now", he joked as I hugged him. "Welcome back grandpa", I said making him smile. "How was your flight?", I asked as we walked back to the parking lot. "It was refreshing. I haven't travelled in a long time so, it was nice", he said while hugging Zahra and then Aziz. "Hello gorgeous", Abdul said checking me out after putting the kids in the car. I smiled circling my hands on his neck. I knew he wouldn't kiss me in front of his father so a hug was ok, even though he made sure to press me on his bulge just to send a message of what was going to happen when we reached home. He adjusted his pants before pulling back. "See you later old man", he told his father then we went our separate ways.

We reached home an hour later. I prepared a bath as he gave Natalia and Nathan their presents. By the time the bath was ready, he was done. I unpacked, as he took a bath. He told me how awesome the trip was and how he was able to have bonding time with his father. Something that they hadn't done in a long time. "That was nice baby. I'm happy you were able to do that", I replied as I was putting the clothes in the laundry basket ready for washing. He stayed in the water for almost an hour, and by the time he was done, dinner was ready. We ate and finally went to sleep. He was out like a light. I smiled as I saw the way he slept peacefully. He was finally back after being away for a month and a half and it made me happy.

Let's take a picture before you leave yeah?", he said and she nodded her head. I took a picture of them and sent it to him. No doubt I was going to see it on Instagram later. He loved posting pictures of us on his page. It kinda felt good. "What are you thinking about?", he asked out of nowhere. "Life I guess. How fortunate I am to have you in my life", I said. He smiled. "Dinner later?", he asked while wiggling his brows. "I have no idea why you are wiggling your brows but dinner sounds nice", I said with a smile making him chuckle. "Great, let's go together, that way I can pick you up after", he said as we walked out of the house.
