Chapter XL

I was busy looking at the rings as Greyson drove us to the hotel where we were going to change our clothes and do the photoshoot. "You like them?", Abdul asked. I turned to look into his dark grey eyes, this man is officially my husband. A dream come true. "Yes, they are very beautiful Abdul", "Not as much as you are", he said with a huge smile. "Stop being weird", I said making him laugh.

"Can't we have a quickie before the shoot?", I asked when I was down to only my lingerie. He was about to say no when he turned to look at me. "Fuck Nikki, Amira will have my head if I ruin your makeup. Can't you wait for later? I promise it'll be worth it", he pleaded making me pout. "Please babe", he begged with puppy dog eyes this time around making me agree. He helped me with the dress then we went to the main hall where the setup was. "Surprise!!", people shouted. Oh my god! They prepared a wedding ceremony. "What? How did this happen?", I asked Abdul but he shrugged his shoulders as if he was also surprised. The decorations were amazing, with patterns of nude and gold. Natalia and Nathan came from the crowd and started spreading flowers on the path toward our table. I was in tears by the time they reached the end and she shouted, "you can start walking now". "Shall we my wife?", Abdul asked offering me his hand. Fuck, I love this man. I put my hand on his and started walking towards the place arranged for us. All the people that mattered to us were here. Saad and his kids were here too so that made me feel somewhat better. Inaya was warming up to me, even though it was indirectly, and I was happy about it.

"It's time for the bride and groom to have their first dance. The groom has chosen the song You are the reason by Calum Scott", the host said with a wink and there was a series of Aaawwws as we walked to the centre of the dancing floor. His hands went to my waist and then butt as usual making me roll my eyes at him as I circled mine on his neck earning a kiss on my temple. "There goes my heart beating... and you are the reason", he sang with a wink making my eyes go wide. "I got moves huh?", he teased making me laugh. "You sure do baby... you sure do", I said getting lost in his gaze. We danced until the song ended then I was told to go back to my seat, there was a special dance for me. 

Natalia and Nathan joined Abdul on the dancing floor. "What's going on?", I asked Amira who was pouring champagne for me. "I don't know what you're talking about", she said with a knowing smile. "We have a present for Mama. We have been practicing when you were asleep", Nathan said when he was given the microphone. They all wore black sunglasses then Forever by Chris Brown was put on. I could not believe my eyes so I just sat there staring at my husband and kids as they did horrible Chris Brown moves. People cheered, I cheered, screamed and jumped with excitement. When they were done, I kneeled holding my arms open for my kids as they ran between them, I hugged the life out of them and kissed their tiny faces all over. We were all pulled in a bigger hug by Abdul making us all laugh. "I did not see that coming hubby", I said giving him a peck on the lips. "Of course you didn't, we are awesome that way wifey", he said smacking my butt. 

"You still have a problem with manners I see", we turned to see Karim with a woman on his arm, and she was gorgeous. "What manners? She is my wife. Did you miss that memo?", Abdul told him while flashing his ring on Karim's face. "Whatever. Thea, this is Nikki my Head of Operations and her idiot husband Abdul who happens to be Ahmed's little brother so technically my little brother", he introduced us, her smile growing bigger when our eyes met. "It's awesome to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you", she said pulling me in a hug. "Good things I hope?", I teased. "Good things only. Hello Abdul and congratulations to both of you", she said shaking Abdul's hand. "So you finally tamed the beast. I never thought I would live to see the day", Abdul teased making Karim roll his eyes. In all the time I have spent with him, he never allowed such comments to tear him down, he always had something to say but today, he had nothing. "Oh really? He was putting a tough guy face on?", she teased giving him a peck on the lips, making me giggle. "Fuck it! I need a drink", he said leaving Thea with us. "What got him all worked up?", Jax asked joining the group. "Oh nothing, just finding out the beast has been tamed, that's all", I said with a laugh. "If someone told me, I wouldn't have believed it", he said putting his hands up in surrender. 

"Nikki, can we go to our room? The kids are feeling sleepy", Claire said walking to our circle. I could have sworn I saw Jax checking her out but he recovered quickly, I don't blame him. The dress Zahra picked for her was amazing. It hugged her in all the right places and the makeup highlighted her beauty perfectly. "Sure Claire, can we say goodnight to them?", I asked and she went to collect them. They did look tired. "You guys already ate?", Abdul asked Claire. "Yes, the buffet was open so we made sure to eat everything", she said with a smile, then high-fived her partners in crime. "Ok then. Be ready at ten ok? We don't want to miss the flight", "Ok. Say goodnight to mama and daddy", Claire ushered them. "Goodnight mama and daddy", they said in unison. "Your kids are adorable", Thea commented. "Thank you, Thea. Any plans to make the little ones of your own?", before she could answer someone choked on their drink, it was Karim. I tried holding it but Abdul and Jax were laughing their lungs out. He was blushing and so was Thea. I guess I just put an idea in their heads, how awesome was that? "Oh, man! This is epic", Jax said earning a smack on the back of his head. We went on to thank the guests who attended and some introductions from Abdul's clients before leaving the party.
