"Are we going to draw a new circle?" Shane asked, hoping he could mess up their ritual.

"No, we're going to refill the one already here, and we are also going to redefine the triangle." Ryan said, sure of himself, while taking out chalk markers and giving one to Shane and keeping one to himself. "It looks to me like the summoning markings are still intact since they used them, but I also have a reference photo taken soon after the incident, so we can add the things that have gone away."

Shane began feeling his chances of not doing this drop significantly.

"Before we begin though I should give you and everyone at home information about this entity." Ryan turned to face the camera they had set up, preparing his narration voice. "The demon, named Shax, was one of the fallen angels and is therefore very powerful. It is, however, an obedient demon, though very deceitful. It is said to be a thief and could among other things easily steal things at the command of the summoner, but unless you have it in a triangle it will tell many lies."

"I wondered what the triangle was for!" Shane said amused, like he totally wasn't panicking at what was happening, and how Ryan also knew of his weakness, even though he doesn't know it's specifically his.

"Is that also why it couldn't escape? Due to the triangle?" Shane of course knew this wasn't the case, but wanted to know just how much Ryan knew of what happened.

"Well no, not really. The triangle is only for the truth-thing. What made this summoning special was the fact that they succeeded at something very few have done."

"Ominous. What was it?" Shane said, a bit amused at the mystery Ryan put to it.

"They added a few steps: Drew another circle -the outer one here, a sort of binding, which we are not going to do- and chanted and enchanted it along with the summoning to make the creature summoned obedient even after the initial deal has been made. Many have of course also tried this, before and after, but almost none has succeeded. It's a great risk too, because if the summoned creature notices that you had tried to enslave it, it will go mad and not only not grant you your wish, but also curse you, if not even kill you."

"Woah yeah that's really a hit or miss, huh?" Shane again quipped.

"Yeah and they had hit." Ryan chuckled.

"Do you have an offering for it?" Shane suddenly asked, wondering what Ryan thought was of equal value for his presence.

"For it to manifest I have this horse plushie, and some seeds it can feed upon...like a peace offering you know?" Ryan said, reaching in his backpack to then lift up a bag and a brown plush horse.

"So we have grain and a... horse plush." Shane deadpanned, not impressed in the slightest.

"What?! It was said to 'fetch horses' and is often presented as a bird-like creature!" Ryan tried to defend himself. Sure, Shane guessed it was somewhat accurate, though he didn't present himself as a bird anymore. Shane quite liked the humanoid beings people often think of when they think of a demon, adapting to that form instead. Still...

"The demon won't appreciate that."

"How would you know?"

"Well," Shane began, raising his pointing finger in the air. "I don't." He finished with a smile.

"Let's just get to it, big guy." Ryan said.
