Aurora's POV:

It's 7:15 AM and I was looking at myself in the mirror I'm in my new room. We just moved here to this small town last night and now I'm starting school today. I hate being the new kid, I miss my old school, with my old friends. I and my mom moved because of bills and she also got a job at the hospital here in Beacon Hill. I don't want to complain about moving here cause she was happy that we're moving on from dad. And I know she's trying her hardest every day.

I let out a sigh as I looked at my body. My eyes traveled up my tan legs to my clothes. I was wearing a white dress with a black skirt underneath, including my black and white converse. I had my curly/wavy hair down, I had the necklaces that my father give me when I was 10 on, and I never take it off. I like to think he's also watching over me and that he wants me to be happy and not sad.

"Rory! ¡Tienes que irte antes de que llegues tarde a tu primer día de classes!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs

"Coming Ma!" I shouted before grabbing my backpack, phone, and house keys

I put my backpack over my shoulders. I then put my phone and keys into my pocket in my dress. I turned off the light and quickly lifted my room. Once I got downstairs I saw my mother by the door with her purse and car keys in her hands. She was also wearing her hospital clothes, with her hair tied back in a low ponytail, she started work today.

"¿Estás segura de que no quieres que te lleve a la escuela? I can drop you off on the way to the hospital Rory" She said softly but firm

I shook my head with a small smile "Estoy seguro Ma, son solo cinco minutos a pie. Estaré bien, I promise" I said

She let out a sigh as she opened the front door "Okay, I might be home late, so call me if you need anything."

"I know ma"

She then kissed my head "Que tengas un buen día, te amo"

"Love you too, bye Ma!"

I finally got to the school, it only took me 3 minutes to get there. So it wasn't that bad, the walk was actually very peaceful. I looked around and saw some kids walking into the building or just standing outside talking with their friends. I didn't really know what to do cause I didn't know anybody. I probably stand there for a couple of minutes thinking about what I should do. I then saw two kids walking toward me.

The girl had long brown/strawberry blonde hair and the other boy had short-ish brown hair. They both smiled when they were in front of me. I quickly smiled back at them.

"You're new right? I haven't seen you around before." The girl said she was pretty

"Yeah, I'm new and to be honest I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing," I said truthfully

The boy chuckled "We can show you to the main office." He said kindly "I'm Tim McCall, by the way, and she's Lindsay Stilinski"

I let out a small giggle at the fact that her name rhymes "I'm Aurora Knight"

"Now that we got the introductions out of the way, let's get Aurora to the main office. Class is about to start and I can't be let to homeroom again." Lindsay said

Tim nod at her and looked back at me "Come on"

They both started walking, so I quickly followed them. The three of us walked into the building and everyone's eyes were on me. Most of the boys were looking at me up and down, as the girls looked at me rudely. I didn't know, I just walked into the school for the first time. But choosing to ignore everyone's looks, I continued to follow Tim and Lindsay. I probably looked like a lost puppy behind them, but we finally got to the main office.

Tim and Lindsay both stopped and looked at me "Here's the office, we have to get to class but maybe we'll see you later" Tim said nicely

I nodded "Okay, thank you for showing me to the main office"

"Of course, if anyone messes with you let me know," Lindsay said with a slight smirk

I let out a laugh "Okay, bye. Nice meeting you two"

They nodded before walking away, I let out a small sigh before walking into the office. I went up to the lady that was sitting there at her desk. She took her eyes from her screen to mine. I grow slightly nervous as she looked at me confused.

"May I help you?" She asked with a slight tone

But choosing to ignore it, I smiles brightly at her "Hello Ma'am, I'm new and I was hoping I could get my schedule please" I said kindly

She let out a little huff as she rolled her eyes. My shoulders fall slightly but I didn't let her know I was hurt. "Name"

"Um Aurora Knight"

She typed on the computer for a few seconds "Ah yes, you're in the system already."

She grabbed two pieces of paper that were on the printer and handed them to me. I took it from her hands and looked at them. It was my locker number and my schedule. I then put my attention back on the lady.

"Your tour guide should be here soon," she said annoyed

I looked at her confused "My tour guide?" I asked

I then saw her roll her eyes at me "Yes, just someone to show you where your classes are, you both have the same classes"

I just nodded not saying anything else to her. She spoke to me like I was a five-year-old, which mean me annoyed. "Puta" I mumbled.

Thankfully she didn't hear me cause I had gotten in trouble. And my mom would have killed me for getting in trouble on the first day. Then a handsome boy, my age walked into the office. He was taller than me and his hair was kinda long but it look fluffy. He looked at the lady and smiled slightly but it was kind of forced.

"Good morning Ma'am," He said, his voice was soft

"Morning. She's the new student" The lady said plainly

The boy looked at me and smiled, this time it was a real one. So I quickly returned one back to him. "I'm Eli Hale"

I felt my cheeks get hot "I'm Aurora Knight. Nice to meet you, Eli" I said softly

"Likewise." Then the bell rang "Shit, we're late to homeroom. Coach is going to make me run extra laps for being late again..." Eli mumbles the last part to himself but I heard it

I was confused about what he meant by that but didn't say anything. Eli motioned me to follow him, so I quickly did. I walked next to him as I had to speedwalk to match the paste. I was praying that today was a good day and nothing bad happens. It's my first day and I want it to be calm...
