Eli's POV:

Laying down on my bed, I was staring at the ceiling. It's been three days since I've seen Aurora, or even talked to her. I haven't even left the house, my dad tried to get me to leave my room but ended up failing. I didn't want to go anywhere, I didn't even go to school today. All I can think about is Aurora, I wish she would just text me back. I've been calling and texting her, but she never answered any of them. The thing is she read my text, she just didn't want to answer me. Which hurt even worse because she saw how desperate I am to get her to talk to me. Yet she didn't care, and to be honest I wasn't even mad at her. I couldn't be mad with her, I'm finding it hard to be.

I've gotten rejected and ignored by so many other girls, and I've been okay. But since it's Aurora, it feels like someone ripped my heart into two. Aurora is the only girl, I want in my life. She's perfect and just completely beautiful, inside and out. I love the way she smiles, and the way her chocolate brown eyes light up when she talks about something she's passionate about. Like the guitar and when she talks about the new book she got or just read. She is so smart too, she's probably the smartest person in school. Aurora is a nice person and I love talking with her.

Then my thoughts were completely cut off when I heard a few feet steps outside, causing me to freeze slightly. I heard them getting closer and closer, yet I didn't move, having an idea of who they were. I shook my head, hoping they would just go away, but they didn't. I then heard a light tapping on my window and someone opening it. I turned my head towards the window and saw Tim when a grin. I rolled my eyes.

"What are you doing here?" I glanced at my phone screen "It's 12 clock at night" I said in a low voice

He rolled his eyes and leaned move against the window frame "We're here to help you get your girl back"

I shook my head "One; she's not my girl and two; she doesn't want to talk to me, Tim"

"Neither did you nor Aurora go to school today. So clearly you two need to talk to each other and sort it out"

"Dude, She hates me okay? And if she doesn't want to talk to me, then it's a fine" lie. "So can you guys just leave"

Then Lindsay popped her head into the window "One; she is your girl, two; get your ass up. Just because she doesn't want to talk to you doesn't mean you don't have to. Now hurry up before your dad hears us" she stated quickly and annoyed

I looked away from Tim and Lindsay as I thought for a couple of seconds. maybe they're right, I should try and attempt to talk to her in person. And try to get her to forgive me for whatever I did. If she doesn't kick me out before I get to do so.

I turned back to them "Alright, I'm going" I said causing them both to smirk

"Attaboy!" Tim said grinning making Lindsay roll her eyes

"Be quiet, you dirtbag" she said as she smacked the back of his head "His dad is gonna hear us"

"Ow..." he mumbled with a pout but we all knew it didn't actually hurt him

I let out a small laugh before pulling my blanket off of me, I immediately stood up. Scrambling around my room trying to find a shirt, almost falling in the progress. I grabbed a gray shirt that was laying on top of my desk chair. I quickly put it on and I run my hands through my hair, trying to fix it. Now moving so that I was close enough that I grabbed my phone pulling it off the charger. I also grabbed my wallet that was on my nightstand, I put both of them inside my pajama pant pockets. Turning around, I made my way toward the window. Tim and Lindsay moved to the side giving me room to climb outside.

Landing on my two legs quickly turned and shut the window. I made sure to do it quietly, so my dad wouldn't hear it that much and wake up. Tim then wrapped his arms around my neck and turned me. I rolled my eyes as we began to walk.

~

Tim pulled to the side of the road, in front of Aurora's house. It wasn't that far from mine, about 5 minutes away, 10 minutes walking. I saw a light on in one of the rooms, I guessed it was Aurora since her mom's car isn't in the driveway. Her mom was probably at work, Aurora told me a few times that she works the third shift a lot of the time.

I turned my head to Tim and Lindsay, Lindsay narrowed her eyes at me.

"Go apologize for whatever you did Eli, so Aurora can start talking to me again. I can't keep hanging out with you too. You guys are idiots, I want my girl time back" She stated

Me and Tim rolled our eyes. Tim was about to say something about it but Lindsay shot him a glare, So he quickly stopped himself.

"What if she doesn't open the door?" I said growing nervous

"Dude just try," Tim said reassuring

I let out a sigh before opening the car door and getting out. I closed the door behind me and walked up to Aurora's front porch. I started thinking about what I should say to her. And just hoping she doesn't slam the door in the face. I need to know what the hell I did so I can fix it and not do it again. Once I was in front of the door. I knocked hesitating, knowing this probably was a bad idea. But do I really care at the moment? No, no I don't. I don't even care if Aurora doesn't feel for me, All I want is for me and her to be friends again.

My thoughts were cut off by the door opening. Aurora stood there in her pajamas, which were those black short shorts or whatever, and a tank top. Her curly hair was tied up in a bun, and she was wearing the necklace that she always had on. She's very protective of it for some reason, I never really asked why. I watched as Aurora's sleepy eyes go wide. She looked around outside as if she was looking for something or someone. And when she didn't find what she was looking for, She looked back at me confused.

"What are you doing there?!" She said slightly whispering

"I wanted to talk to you. You've been ignoring and I don't even know what I did wrong" I said pleasing

She shook her head, I heard her heart pounding "you can't be here Eli"

"Why not?"

I was confused about why she sounded scared. I'm really starting to think she knows...

"Because-... I-." She let out a sigh, she couldn't even form a sentence "leave, just leave Eli"

I shook my head and took a step forward "Not until you tell me what did I for you to not want to talk to me"

Aurora didn't say anything, she just kind of stared at me. She was clearly thinking everything over in her head. Her heartbeat was still pounding pretty fast, which was worrying me.
