Eli's POV:

The day has gone day very quickly, I sat with Aurora in every class. Including lunch, when we sat with Tim and Lindsay. I wanted her to sit next to me and she didn't seem to mind. But now the day is over and me and Tim have lacrosse practice from 5 to 9 later. I have time to be able to walk Aurora home if she is interested. I was about to ask her but I spotted Tim and Lindsay walking toward us. I smiled slightly at them. Me and Tim did our handshake causing Lindsay to roll her eyes. She then looked at Aurora and smiled, along with Tim when he saw her. Aurora returned the gesture

"So, how was your first day?" Lindsay asked curiously as she tangled their arms and started walking down the hallway again. Me and Tim quickly followed them

"It was pretty good, but um some of the girls in my classes hate me, and boys are looking at me like a wolf looks at a piece of meat.." Aurora explained

Tim and I both shared a look, he was about to say something. But I quickly shook my head annoyed at him. He then rolled his eyes and thankfully stayed quiet. I moved my attention back to Aurora and Linds, who were laughing.

"Of course, boys are going to look at you like that, you're fucking beautiful, Aurora! And no wonder girls are going to hate you"

Aurora's face turned red, she looked embarrassed. It seems like she didn't know what to say.

"Respectfully, I agree with Linds," Tim said with a grin

She let out a laugh "Thank you, I guess" she said nervously

"Don't you agree Eli?" Lindsay said smirking at me. I knew what she was doing and I hated it

Aurora looked at me curiously, my heart rate quickly picked up. Tim heard it because he was now holding back a laugh. I didn't know what to say, well obviously she's beautiful but I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable. Tim then hit my shoulder playfully with a bit of wolf strength.

"Answer the question, Eli. Do you think she's beautiful?" He said grinning

I glared at him before looking at Aurora. She was already facing me "Y-Yea, you're um beautiful.." I said nervously and awkwardly

She then smirks at me "Thank you, Eli. You're not too bad yourself..."

Aurora turned back to Lindsay as they both walked in front of us. I looked at Tim annoyed, he was still grinning like an idiot. I rolled my eyes at him, that was so embarrassing.

"Seriously?" I asked as moved my hands

Tim shrugged "it's not my fault that you like her," he said teasingly

I can feel my cheek getting red "I don't like her, we just met today. That would be weird..."

He then gives me a look "mhm? You're heart beats faster every time she looks at you or sits next to you. The way you look at her says otherwise, oh and you're literally blushing right now, man"

Knowing he was right, but I wasn't going to admit it to him. I flipped him off before walking away towards Aurora and Lindsay. I heard him laughing as he followed me. I hate how he knows me better than anyone sometimes. Along with Lindsay, they can see that I have some form of interest in Aurora. And they're not going to let it go. I caught up to them, and Lindsay pulled away from Aurora's arm.

"I have to go, I have detention," Lindsay said, rolling her eyes

I rose my eyebrow "Why?" I said confused

"She was being a little too sarcastic with Mr. V," Tim said when he got next to me

"It's not my fault he asked a stupid ass question!" She argued defensively

"Anyways, I have to go too. Bye Aurora" Tim smiled at her

Which she returned "Bye," she said

Tim then turned to me and patted my shoulder "See you at practice"

I nodded "Alright Man"

Tim give Lindsay a slight wave and walked away. Lindsay then winked at Aurora as if she was silently telling her something. Her face was now red and she looked embarrassed. Which caused Linds to laugh, as she shook her head.

"See ya," she said before walking away

I rolled my eyes and looked back at Aurora, who was already looking at me "I like your friends" She said with a smirk

"I'm glad, it seems they like you too," I said with a chuckle. I thought for a few seconds "Is it okay if I um walk you home?"

She smiled "Don't you have lacrosse practice?"

"It starts at 5, so I have plenty of time to drop you off and then go home to change. If you want me to walk with you, if not it's fine. I don't wanna make you uncomfortable or anything"

"Well then Mr. Hale, shall we get going?" she said in a fancy voice

"Of course, my lady" I copied her tone with a grin

We both walked out of the school, and down the sidewalk. We both walked in comfortable silence, but I would glance over at her every saw second, just to make sure she was okay. But I couldn't help to just stare as her curly hair blow against the wind. I could smell her perfume, I liked it. As weird as that sounds, I found it comforting being around Aurora even though we met today. I'm thinking about if I should tell my dad about the feeling I get around her, but he would ask too many questions and then would want to meet her.

Not realizing where I was going, I almost trip on a rock. I was able to catch myself before I face-planted on the sidewalk. I heard Aurora laughing beside me, I mentally cursed at myself for making a foul out of myself.

"You okay, Eli?" Aurora's Spanish accent became more noticeable

I cleared my throat "Yea, I'm fine"

"I'm sorry for laughing" I glanced at her and she was now holding back a laugh

"I almost busted my head open and you laughed, but I guess I accept your apology"

Aurora shocked her head with a smile before looking back in front of her. She was clearly thinking about something over in her head. I watched as she glanced at me and then looked back to the ground.

"Thank you for helping me today" she spoke softly

I shrugged "it's not like anyone else sits or talks to me. Tim and Lindsay don't count because I see them as my cousins, not friends"

"Well, I guess I'm your friend now"

I let out a nervous laugh "I um guess you are..."
