"Have you seen my pen?" Hyunjin asked his colleague. They were done with investigating and he was fiddling around in his pockets as they drove back to the station.
"Nah mate, you've probably lost it at the restaurant" Chan answered following by a long yawn.
Hyunjin scrunched his nose. He has never lost his pen...

"I'll get you a new one Hwangy, chill out." Chan laughed.
Hyunjin punched his arm, carful not to influence his driving.
"I'm really tired man. What is it about this week? And it's only Tuesday..."
Hyunjin whined.

Chan shrugged his shoulders "I'll not be surprised if we find a serial killer at the end of this week." He laughed.
Hyunjin chuckled "Please no more deaths Chan. My nerves." Hyunjin acted scared. The officers have always coped their work trauma with humor and it always let them feel a little better.

"Nah seriously if I see another dead body in the next seven days I'll quit." Chan spoke earnestly. They looked at eachother for a second but then burst out laughing again.
"If you quit I'll do to. I can't hear those sirens anymore" Hyunjin chuckled.

They continued driving until they finally arrived at the station. It was already very late but they still had to do the paperwork. Hyunjin made himself a coffee first before he sat down at his office.

He pushed open his notebook to read over the testimonys. He marked all the important stuff with a green marker while he created a new profile for the criminal on his  computer.

According to the witnesses he was fully covered.
"Blue eyes..." he mumbled as he read one particular page.
It was the only thing really describing the murders appearance.
He skipped down to the end of the page.
"Felix...
the pretty guy..." Hyunjin continued.

A picture of the boys wrist popped out in Hyunjins head. He had seen his bracelet somewhere...
He quickly grabbed the USB stick that was still laying around on his desk. He had no reason keeping it as the body shop owner had called yesterday. According to him the thief brought back the soapbars and the owner declined his charges.
Hyunjin had forgotten to throw the USB away and now he connected it with his computer.

He skipped to the right time and imiditaly zoomed in on the pink bracelet. "It's the same one..." Hyunjjn mumbled as he looked down on this Felix' Name.
He shook his head as he took out the USB again.
Even if this Felix was really the one stealing that day, it was already over. Hyunjin decided to throw the evidence away but this mysterious boy kept showing up in his head for the rest of the night.

And where the fuck was Hyunjins pen?

The freckled boy was laying on his bed. It was a Saturday afternoon as he played with a black pen thinking back to what happened this week.

He tried to avoid going near this restaurant for the past four days. Instead he focused on learning or helping his father in the house.
Said father came into his room seconds ago. He asked him if he was down to go out and Felix just nodded a bit absent.

'I need to give it back' he thought to himself as he swirled the pen around.
He stole the pen from officer Hwang as they were at the crime scene and he felt guilty.
It was just a pen but he couldn't hold himself back from stealing it that day. He was just too stressed and the pen was the one thing in sight as he fell into his manic episode back then.

Felix got up as he remembered the promise he made to his father. He grabbed his coat and slid the pen inside its pockets.

Where are we going?

Felix signed as his father looked up. He sat on the couch probably listening to some radio music.
Yes his father wasn't deaf.

Felix' deafness wasn't something genetic and the freckled boy actually had a time in his live were he could hear but he was so little at the time that he can't remember anything.

I thought we might enjoy some ice cream

His father responded giving him a knowing face. Felix was down for ice cream any time. Even on days like this were it was freezing cold outside.
The student smiled brightly at his dad and nodded as an agreement.

They put on their shoes and got out quickly. Felix jumped into the car sitting in the passenger seat.

They drove for a little while as his dad stopped infront of his favorite ice cream parlor. They went there since Felix could walk and even before he was born Felix father enjoyed beeing here with the freckled boys Mother.

Can we sit by the window?

Felix asked exited. His father nodded and they walked in.
As they sat down Felix already knew what he was ordering while his dad went thru all the pages of the menu.
He always did that even if he probably knows the menu by heart.

Come one. We both know what you'll order.

Felix signed after he knocked on the table. He chuckled at his dad's face that he made every single time he said that.

Oh, maybe I want something else this time? How do you know? I'm not that transparent Felix...

Felix laughed. Probably loudly but he didn't mind.
He just shrugged his shoulders and waited for the waiteress to come up to them.
As she stood at their table Felix father ordered.
"My son will get Strawberry icecream on a waffle and I'll have..."
He looked up at Felix who had one eyebrow raised.

Then his dad covered up his mouth so Felix couldn't see what he ordered for himself. He widened his eyes in disbelief.
As the waiteress left he crossed his arms.

That was so rude

He signed but had to laugh afterwards.
Mr. Lee chuckled and showed Felix his tounge.
After their little play fight Felix glanced out the window.

He gasped as he looked at the police station that has always been there but Felix had forgotten it somehow.
Their town wasn't that big so it was the only police station they had around.

The black haired boy slid his hand into his pocket to make sure the pen was till there.

Dad do you mind if I go in there after we're done?

Felix asked pointing to the station across the street.
Mr. Lee chuckled.

Do you want to get me in jail for not telling you what I ordered?

He signed back. Felix rolled his eyes.

Maybe?... No I'm serious. I have a friend that works there and I have to give him something back.

Felix lied. He hated lying to his dad but telling him the truth would be embaressing 'Hey dad I stole a pen from an officer as I was a witness on a crime scene' he'd never tell him that.

Hyunjin was sitting in his police car infront of the station. He had just dealt with an order and was about to get back to his office as he was distracted by something.

There was a familiar boy walking up and down infront of the station as if he was scared to go in. As the blonde looked closer he noticed it was one of his witnesses.
"What is he doing?" Hyunjin mumbled to himself.

He watched him as he suddenly kept still and took a deep breath.
He seemed to gather all his courage and finally get in.
Hyunjin frowned. Felix. He remembered his name.

After some seconds the black haired boy walked out the station again a small smile on his face.
Hyunjin decided to watch him until he got into the passenger seat of some car. 'God he is really godlooking' Hyunjin thought. But he still seemed very mysterious to the officer.

Hyunjin finally got out of the car.
As he walked in his workplace he was held back by their secretary.
"Mr. Hwang, there was someone here just seconds ago he gave me this with a paper. It had your name on it so i thought it might be for you. This boy, he didnt talk at all and he didnt tell me his name." She told him while handing him a small object.
His pen...

He looked down at it "Thank you Mrs. Yang. Don't worry about the name.
I've already got it..." he mumbled the last part as he walked away from her.
