chapter 2.

After a few days of hiding in Jame's basement, we packed some stuff that he had given us. T-shirts, Hoodies etc. Teddy thought it would be best if we would leave and live in a Motel, before heading to Mexico.
That was the big Plan, Mexico.
Where nobody would ever find him nor me.

I missed my old Life, he had stolen from me, but there was this feeling deep inside me, slowly building up, and it terrified me to know that I might fall for this Man.
Teddy was shaving his beard in the bathroom, to look a little less like the man on the Mugshot. I walked over to him, saying:"Teddy, we still need to figure out a Plan, like, how we wanna get to Mexico, it's so faraway from here", He looked at me for a second, then kept shaving without saying a single word.

I shook my head and left him alone. I walked upstairs to James, he smiled at me a bit awkward, sitting on the staircase outside with the door wide open. I smiled back, obviously sad.
James asked:"You okay?", I replied:"No, Teddy does not talk to me and I don't know why", I sat down next to him. James said:"He loves you", I looked at him suprised by his choice of words and asked:"Why did you say that?", He laughed lightly:"Cause it's true, I can see it in his eyes", I said sarcastically:"Weird, if I look into his eyes, I see nothing but deep brown darkness", He smirked.

I stood up and was headed back down, when Teddy walked up the stairs with the suitcases in his hands. I grabbed one and He whispered:"Thanks". I smiled and spoke:"No problem". He threw the suitcases on the backseat, into the 'ol rusty car. He talked with James for a few minutes while I was already in the car, waiting for him to get in.

Teddy finally came and started the car, I waved at James and then leaned my head on my fist, looking out of the window. We drove for hours and crossed the borderline between Tennessee and Alabama. Until we saw a Motel sign, shining in the dark of the late evening. Teddy parked the car in a dark corner and We got out. He said:"If you try shit, you're done, got it?", I nodded and asked him:"Will they not notice?", He shook his head then took my hand and we walked into the Motel. An old Lady was sitting on the Desk, writing something down. She looked up and smiled, saying:"How may I help you two?", Teddy smirked:"We would like to get a room", She handed us keys and warned:"No murder, No smoking, Nothing!", then she laughed jokingly, We nodded and laughed too, then got to our room. (505).

The room was beautiful in a simple way, the bed had pretty floral sheets, there were long beige curtains and a balcony with a view on the woods. Teddy and I unpacked some lighter stuff, when I said to him:"James told me that you love me", I had to giggle a bit. Teddy's gaze cold as stone suddenly changed into a softer expression and he replied:"Is that so?, y'know James talks a lot of shit, he's a bit extra, and no I do not love ya, just for the record", I smiled but a part of me was kinda hurt by his words, though they should feel relieving. I spoke:"I know, I do not love you neither".

After that it was dead silent for a while between the two of us. I decided to go on the balcony and enjoy the view for a moment. Teddy was inside, taking a shower.
I was impressed by the view, the green trees wich slowly changed colors fascinated me each year.
Autumn was my favorite of all seasons.

A fresh breeze was blowing and I could feel winter crawl upon the land. Hopefully we would be in Mexico when the first snow falls. Teddy had finished his shower and came out on the balcony to join me.
He had a white towel around his waist, covering his intimates. I couldn't understand how he was able to be out here like that. I had my coat on and a hoodie underneath, and I was still freezing a bit.

He walked up to me, slowly saying:"The view is pretty impressive, isn't it?, I mean...the woods too and stuff", he smiled softly at me. I had to smirk a bit, feeling the heat flush to my cheeks.
I answered:"Yeah, it is". He stopped right next to me, and I laid my head on his shoulder, I had to admit it felt like a safe space to me, to be with him.

I whispered:"Wish we could stay like this", He looked at me, smiling for a second then his gaze wandered back to the view and the dark. At this point the sun was gone and since we had arrived at dawn, it had gotten all pitch black outside.

He grabbed my hand suddenly, and lead me inside, on the way to the room I asked perplexed:"Whatcha doing?", He kept quiet. Then he sat us down on the bed, and laid his tired body down. He looked at me then patted the spot next to him and said:"Come, come here", I let myself sink into his arms and we cuddled for a while, watching a movie.

The movie was great, it was called Lolita, though I thought that the age gap was still sick, like the gap between Teddy and me. I looked away and tried to calm my hands, they were shaking crazy by the thought of it. He noticed and put his hands over mine, the warmth of 'em eased my shakes. I fell asleep somewhere mid-movie, but Teddy stayed awake a bit longer, thinking about his true feelings towards me, and how to get rid of them before they would turn serious, though they probably already were serious.

In a moment I woke up from my sleep, but before I could decide to sit up, I heard Teddy say in a really sad tone:"I love you, girl, and I don't know how this is even possible after this short time or anyway, I've never felt this way for no one, and it scares me, and though I wanna be there for you and show you that I care, I cant right now, Im sorry", A tear rolled down my face, and I acted asleep. It was all so confusing, and wrong, He kidnapped me, and fell for me, and I fell too, how could this be?, What was Gods plan?...
