We walked out of the alley and the view was breath taking, I was amazed by the beauty of the area but also scared due to the fact the more beautiful a place is the more danger awaits in the dark.
I squeezed my mother's hand and swallowed a bit of my saliva.
We continued to walk on the pathway, the pathway was smooth and wide so the three of us walked side by side.
The streets of Ashbourne are surprisingly quiet and joyful which makes me worry.
After twenty minutes of walking around we finally got to the bakery we had been searching for; Sugarboo bakery.
''It seems this is as far as I will go.'' Richard said whilst taking a bow.
''Sir Richard, why aren't you coming inside with Callista and mommy?''
He stooped his bow and smiled brightly, ''Well I have to protect you two from unwanted people from the outside.''
''Are you sure your going to be alright?''
His expression remained unchanged, he pet my head and smiled brightly.
''There's no need to worry about me.'' He leaned closer to my ear and whispered, ''Just make sure to leave some cookies for the two of us, we'll eat them as soon as we get back at the mansion.''
I smiled happily and nodded my head in agreement. We shared our goodbyes and mother and I proceeded to walk further into the bakery.
The walls where a light shade of pink whilst the furniture was white. There where a few single pendant lights on the ceiling, most of the light in the shop was light from the outside windows. The floor was wooden but smooth. The atmosphere in the shop was filled with peace and quiet, there where barely anyone besides us that was in the shop. We walked further into the shop until we reached the counter table, the was a golden bell on the counter table which was next to the cash register. My mother took her free hand and pulled the white string which was attached to the bell and rang it for three seconds, she stopped and yelled, ''Doubled chocolate cake, covered in coconut icing and topped with chocolate cookies!''
''Mommy what are yo-''
''Boo!''
A women jumped out behind the counter, she had lovely red eyes, bright fair skin, pink and aqua blue hair, wore a maid outfit which had oversized sleeves.
Our eyes met and she smiled even more at the sight of my frighted face.
''Muahahaha! I have succeeded in surprising my customers once again!''
''You shouldn't be scaring people especially young children.''
''Oh come on Iris! People love my surprise attacks!''
''I'm not sure about that...''
''Mommy.''
''Yes my love?''
I used my free hand and pointed at the women. ''Who's that funny looking lady?''
''HUH!? I am not funny looking!'' the women yelled.
''Then whats with your odd hair color?''
''Where I'm from; hair colors such as these are normal!''
''Oh? Do you originate from the Eastern provinces of the empire?''
''Yes! You know for a girl your age your quite smart for identifying the region I'm from!''
''Well I did repeat the novel five times.'' I thought.
