The Phantom Hunt (Ryker x Reader)

Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston

After yesterday's crazy events, you were trying to mentally prepare yourself for the next and last day of spending time with the group to get to know them. Today would be the day you would be with the twins and you had absolutely no idea what they would be up to today with you.

You skipped the clubhouse for today and went to their hut straight away. Knocking on the door, they opened up pretty quick. "So, are you ready to become one of us?" Ruffnut grabbed you by the shoulders and smiled at you in a way that was not saying much good to you.

"I guess. What should I expect for today?" You asked a little nervous. "Only the best!" Ruffnut answered you. "After today, you shall be known as an honorary Nut and you will do the things we do!" Tuffnut made a whole piece of drama out of it. "Okay..." You rubbed the back of your neck as you were not sure whether you should do this. "Come on, let's go." Ruffnut pushed you towards the staircase.

Coming down, the twins ran ahead to a hole that was dug in the ground. "Behold! The boar pit! The place for all your entertainment." Ruffnut folded her arms all proudly. "A boar pit?" You were confused and stunned at the same time. "Yes, the boar pit is the best there is. When we need some amusement, we just let the boars run free and watch Hiccup chase them down." Tuffnut came closer to you to whisper it in your ear and you spurted out a quick laugh. You could imagine how that would look.

"Anyway..." Tuffnut shot back up standing straight. "We thought it would be a very good initiation for you to play a game of 'Mudballs' with us." He told you what he wanted to do. "What is that?" You frowned as soon as he said that.

"Glad you ask, milady." He joked around. "Mudballs is a game Ruff and I invented soon after arriving to this island. We basically make the pit all muddy and it will be an all-out mud ball throwing fight. The person who is the muddiest wins." He explained to you and it just didn't make sense to you.

"Wouldn't you want to remain the cleanest to win?" You shared your thought about it. "Normal games would be that way, but we are not normal. We love the crazy stuff, cuz that's what we do." Ruffnut came standing next to her brother and they bashed their helmets into each other. To you, it would just be like they would have a concussion.

"But if we are playing doubles, we need someone else to play with us." Tuffnut thought out loud and held himself by his chin. Ruffnut snapped her fingers and came to an idea. "What about Snotlout?" She called out. "Excellent thinking, sis! After acting like referees yesterday, Snotlout owes us one." Tuffnut totally agreed with him.

"Okay, if you manage to get him involved, why not go boys versus girls?" You suggested and the twins gasped. "That is the best idea you could ever come up with." Ruffnut hugged you tightly before she would yell out to Snotlout's hut.

"Snotlout! Get your butt over here! We need an extra player to play doubles!" She yelled out the moment Snotlout stepped out of his hut. "Leave me alone, twidiots. Not gonna get me this time. Not today, suckers!" He acted all macho in front of you again. "Hey! We were the referees for you and [y/n] yesterday, you owe us one. And we call out for doubles game at mudballs!" Tuffnut retorted to the guy. "Hmph, alright, fine! But only one round." He named his terms. "Fine with us." Tuffnut answered him.

You and Ruffnut quickly discussed strategies and you came up with a good plan. "Okay, if you keep throwing mudballs in the air as a distraction, I'll throw mud right into their faces." Ruffnut agreed with your strategy and you went back to the boys to get this game started.

Balls of mud were thrown from left to right and you had become completely covered with mud from your head to your feet. "Remember, mud is very good for your skin. Keeps your skin young and supple." Ruffnut turned all beauty diva. Even their dragon was eventually covered in mud.
