After our little session, we all sat down by the shore and enjoyed the view the lake had to offer. It was getting dark, and so much has happened in my life at least.

"I hate my classes!" Regan spoke out.

"Oh?" I questioned.

"Well there's some of the bullies in my class, and they won't stop pestering me about some stupid shit that happened years ago, like in middle school years ago" she spoke out, letting her head fall onto the sand.

"Y'know," Y/N started. "we should have a burn book!"

"A what?" Noah said, questioning the fact that someone had just mentioned burning a book.

"Like in mean girls?" Icyhot asked.

"Oh my god, wait actually that's a good idea!" Regan pointed out.

"Yeah wait, Ranboo, check the trunk, I think my scio shit is still in there after Wilbur picked us up"

"Who?" questioned Noah.

Shit. I thought to myself. Why must we mention Wilbur....

"Oh just Ranboos cousin. I'm living with him right now because...well y'know how my parents are. I'm sure they don't even care I'm gone. Probably drinking to forget the fact they had children." Y/N said.

They also had 2 older brothers, by the names of Ryan, and Trevor. Trevor still lives with Y/N to make sure his parents don't kill them, and also to make sure the parents don't burn the place up with their smoke. However, Ryan only goes once in a while, because upon coming from a family of such poor conditions, Ryan, Trevor, and Y/N are very smart, so Ryan goes to Princeton, which he got a scholarship for.

"Why you jealous?" Isla giggled.

Fuck. I forgot about the fact that Isla and Regan make fun of Noah for liking Y/N, which he told me wasn't true. They don't tell me why, but it still pisses me off even though I know it's not true.

However, Noah had turned a shade of pink, before rolling his eyes in a normal manner. "Fuck you guys"

"Ranboo, I need your keys, let's go" Y/N said, dragging me to our expensive matte black Tesla.

I opened the trunk before a felt weight on the side of me, and when I looked over, I saw Y/N laying their weight on me, as if trying to lean on my shoulder, but not tall enough to do so.

"You tired?" I spoke out, reaching into my pocket to pull out their favorite candy.

"Mmmm...." they muttered, taking the cig out of my hand.

They stuck it in their mouth and blew, before rummaging through their school stuff previously left behind and finding a pure white, fuzzy notebook, that I assumed was blank.

"Hey."

I looked down and faced them, their eyes lighting up when I glanced down.

"Hm?"

"I don't say this enough, and with this whole y'know what situation, I feel like I can't find time to do so either, but I genuinely need to thank you."

"Oh?"

They pushed themselves off of me, putting the notebook on the top of the cat and started walking around me.

"You're so forgiving and sweet, even though your apart of some crazy mafia shit. It's the last thing I would have expected from you, even if I didn't act surprised I was, because you're just..."

"I'm just what?". Was this going to be bad? Shit, were they going to tell me that I'm an asshole.

However, thoughts were interrupted by Noah.

"Hey...you two...let's go, you're taking too long." he stated quickly, rolling his eyes and walking away.

Y/N grabbed the notebook, and turned around, leaving me to close the trunk, and stand there by myself, because I couldn't figure out anything they said to me before Noah interrupted.

Why couldn't so just tell her how I felt, it would get so much over with. I thought all of our tender moments, cuddling and sharing shit would make it so obvious I liked them, but I guess I'm just not trying hard enough. Why aren't I trying hard enough, is this something I-

"Hey!"

I whipped my head, to see three paddle boards and then standing around.

"Well, paddle boarding seemed fun, and we can do the burn book when we get back! Also, all the pretty lanterns are going to start turning on by the docks, so I wanna go!" Isla announced.

I got on my own paddle board, Noah and Y/N getting on one and Regan and Isla also getting on one.

Why was I so mad Noah and Y/N were sharing anything. I couldn't decide, like I couldn't put my finger on why my brain was telling me two different things.

One was telling me not to be jealous and just get over it.

And the other was telling me to take the lighter and real cigarettes out of my front pocket and smoke a pack.

I think you can guess which side was winning here.

We paddled across the lake, with our real clothes on, and Y/N and Isla holding their phone flashlights as our guide to the Beach 1 docks.

It was like a 15 minute paddle, if we had no interruptions like lily pads or seaweed. You could see the houses near the edge of the water start lighting up with orange and yellow lights, allowing it to replace the sunshine that once lasted.

Eventually, with the IPhone light guiding us, we made it to the clubhouse and docks, and sat on our boards, our feet dripping in the water. Beach 1 was the most popular, with a playground, little field and a clubhouse, aka a restaurant for members of the lake. A gazebo where weddings were held, and pictures were taken often.

Then Beach 2, which was kinda crappy since no one really went there, however did have a dock and a little field.

Beach 3 was private, and owned by Islas grandma, who is a secretary of the lake community. If you had something to store like a kayack or paddle boards, it was stored in the little sheds the beach also had, which had a gate only members could enter using their IDs.

However, someone had gotten the idea to go to the gazebo, so we paddled our way over there, this time not needing any lights, because the orange lanterns by the Beach 1 docks, and the lanterns that were scattered around the clubhouse were now our new guide.

The clubhouse also plays some romantic music once in while just for people who come around. I think they know that teens or adults usually come here to ask out their crush or dance with their partner.

Which honestly, was a good setup for me. Because finally, I had grown some balls, and was planning to ask out Y/N right there. They loved lanterns, everything pretty, and now that we were basically going to be living together, I might as well take the first step.

We pulled our paddle boards up to the docks, put them on the sand, and sprinted to the gazebo, which when we got there, I was rehearsing what I was going to say to Y/N.

I went to the end of the gazebo, which faced the lake we had just traveled on. And someone approached me from behind, and when I turned halfway around, I realized it was Regan, who was filming something behind me.

The music was louder now, and it was some song you'd hear at any generic wedding, so the clubhouse was probably hosting a wedding.

When I turned around fully, I had wished I didn't.

I didn't tell anybody about my fat crush on Y/N, but I wish I did.

Because when I turned around, my tears almost bursted right then and there, because Noah was kissing Y/N, and just stole their first kiss.

My cigarettes became irresistible at this point, but I couldn't move, my feet felt frozen trapped in place.

Because someone who I thought didn't lie, was now kissing my best friend.
