I took a deep breath of the cool London air as I walked outside to the backyard. I sat on my favorite couch and let the crisp air hit me. Spring was nearing, and the warmth of the sun hitting through the chilly wind felt amazing.

I had taken a paid leave of absence from work, for almost three months now. I started out in New York for a week, and somehow ended up crashing at Anne and Gemma's home since mid-January. As much as I wanted distance from Harry, I also needed comfort, and Anne really brought me that.

We managed to keep it from Harry up until he came to visit for his birthday.

We sat in the living room waiting for Harry to arrive. Anne and I had gone back and forth on whether to surprise him or let him know ahead of time, but I didn't want him to not come because of me, so we kept quiet.

We saw the lights pull into the driveway and my heart began beating practically out of my chest. There was a knock on the door and Anne got up to answer it.

"Hi mum." I heard his sweet voice say and I took a deep breath. Gemma squeezed my shoulder before making her way over to greet her brother and I stood up.

"Hiii Haz." She said holding her brother tight. I watched as he first glanced up noticing me, looking back at me as quickly as he looked away.

Gemma noticed and pushed herself out of the hug walking over to her mom, "I think we need to grab something from the kitchen really quickly Mum."

Anne laughed and followed her daughter out of the living.

"Hi Harry." I said softly, chewing on my bottom lip softly.

"Hi Maggie." He said, looking over me as if trying to figure out if I was real or not, "I uh, I like the hair."

I quickly ran my fingers through my now short hair, dyed a lighter brown, with some soft highlights, "Oh, thanks, I um, I need a change."

"It suits you." He smiled softly.

"Thanks." I bit my lip, "So I heard Charles has Becca working at the Forum."

"Yeah. She comes home so excited all the time. Meeting everyone. Tells everyone she's almost Harry Style's sister in law. Slowly giving Jeff grey hair."

I couldn't help but laugh and he joined. He licked his and pinched the lower one between his fingers, "Um, can I?" He said insinuating he wanted to move closer to me.

"Yeah." I nodded smiling softly.

He quickly closed the distance between the two of us and pulled me in for an embrace. I wrapped my arms around his waist, my face turning into his chest. I took a deep breath in of him. His woodsy smell awakening senses that had been asleep for a while.

He placed his lips to the top of my head and took a deep breath, "I missed you Mags."

"I missed you to Haz." I really had. We had only exchanged a few text conversations here and there. The talk always small, just to make sure everything was going smoothly on both ends. He had waved hello on a few of my FaceTime calls with Becca, but for the most part, it was like we were strangers.

I rested my chin on his chest and peeked up at him, "Happy Birthday Harry."

"Best birthday really." He smiled big.

We had spent most of the evening just chatting in the living room, Harry catching us up on his road to Coachella and on running a couple of rehearsals with Shania Twain. He was like a giddy child and I loved it. I loved seeing his happy face, the joy in his eyes. He looked like my Harry again, not the mess I had left behind a month ago. The space had really done both of us good, and I was happy about it.

After we sang Happy Birthday and cleaned up, Harry was still in the shower and I stepped into the backyard, a blanket wrapped around me. I sat on the patio set couch and bundled up with my hot chocolate. I blew on it softly before taking a sip.

I scrolled through my phone catching up on emails when the door opened up, Harry placed his hot chocolate quickly on the floor and threw a beanie over his wet hair and the over protective part of me shook my head.

"You're going to get sick. It's so cold out."

He shrugged, "I'll survive." He picked up his hot chocolate and sat next to me. I stood up opening up the blanket and wrapping it around him too as I sat down, "Thank you." He smiled.

"Mhm, of course." I smiled looking down at my hot chocolate and taking a sip.

"You look really good Maggie. Happy. That light, it's back in your eyes."

I turned to him and smiled. "I was thinking the same about you earlier, but, thanks Harry. I'm doing better. I still....I still think of Daylily all the time, and how I finally would be showing by now,"' I bit my lip, "But you know what's crazy? I would of have never stopped to fully grieve my mom if I didn't have to grieve our daughter too. I thought I was crazy, for thinking of it like that, but, regardless of what happened, she really was my little blessing."

He rested his forehead on my temple and whispered, "I get it," I listened as he swallowed softly, "I've really missed you Mags."

I turned my head slightly so our eyes could meet, "I've really missed you too Harry."

"Come home?"

"Soon Haz, just not yet." He nodded and leaned in hesitantly, before placing a soft kiss on my lips.

"I'm waiting. Always." he smiled softly and I couldn't help but smile back.

Now it was the first week of March and I would be heading back in the next couple of days with Harry spending time with me here before we flew out.

We also would be talking about what would happen next for us once we got back, and I honestly couldn't wait to tell him how much I just wanted to be with him.
