Your POV

Sitting in the potions classroom I look at my book, deciding that this was the better spot to be able to study than the library. Mostly since it was quieter, darker, and there wasn't any students in their right mind that would spend more time in here than they needed. So why was I in here? That was simple. Potions is my favorite class.

In my usual spot I smile gently as my eyes dance along the pages of my book. The only sound being page turning and the scratches of the quill that Professor Snape had in his hand. Glancing over to him, he stops for a second before going back to what he was doing. Keeping my eyes on him behind the book, I continue processing what he's doing. He puts the quill away before turning to me.

"Is there a reason you're staring at me, Miss (l/n)?"

Humming gently I close my book for a moment with an abrupt snapping sound as I look at him. "Lost in thought I suppose, Sir."

"Do you have any questions w you're spending extra time in my class?"

There was one. Or more like more than one thousand.

"Why have you been limping, Professor?"

He raises a brow as he crosses his arms slowly, his face not wavering as his eyes lock with mine. "About your studies, Miss (l/n)."

"Maybe I've been studying you? You are the most mysterious Professor of the entire school." blinking as I had just said that to him. "Respectfully of course, Sir."

He shakes his head slightly as there's a hint of a smirk on his face. Leaning back in his chair. "If you must know, I twisted my leg the night of the Troll incident."

"That wasn't that long ago, if you twisted it, you shouldn't be able to walk on it yet."

"I know a smart student that is going to get detention if she keeps questioning her Professor."

Nodding gently I went back to my studies. That was before I heard the chair move that he was sitting in. Glancing up as he was close to me, towering over to me as I sit at my desk.

"With you being here now, I wont have to wait to give you your latest quiz. Outstanding marks, Miss. (l/n) Keep it up, and do your best to not disappoint me."

Looking at the perfect score, I smile to myself. Tilting my head back to my book to resume reading, I watch him as he goes back to his desk, giving me a side eye. The smell of white sage sticking around as the wind caught his robes just right.

Taking in a breath quietly as I note the scent, deciding that there's a lot worse smells he could have about him with his work. Maybe we could get along after I'm not a first year and actually have a conversation without feeling as if I'm annoying him with merely breathing.

Getting back to my books I rub my temples for a moment before smiling gently as I watch him make more potions.

"Miss (l/n)."

Looking up to him I raise a brow, he lifts a hand and gives a quick movement of his finger.

"Come here."

Standing from my desk, I nod gently. Walking over to him he motions for me to come to the back of the table where he was standing. Looking up at him he rose a brow at me.

"Since you're going to keep spending your time in here, you might as well learn something that isn't in a book in the library. For now, however, we're going to go over your ingredients you've learned thus far."

Nodding gently he starts telling me ingredients. Gathering them from the table and preparing them for him, he mixes them into the potion. He stands back from the table, the spoon still moving the concoction in the cauldron. Watching in awe for a moment, he makes a small snort under his breath.

"There's wandless magic?"

"Indeed. Though only few can use it without issue."

Nodding slightly I resume to watching the potion. Putting everything in perfectly, feeling the eyes of Snape on me.

"I don't expect perfection from first years, but you seem to be an exception."

Smiling as I look at him he raises a brow, before he could say anything the bell rang. Getting my things together I made my way to the next class.
