Your POV

Sitting in the library, deciding that it was time that I stayed out of the potion class when class was not in session for the time being. It was quiet until Ron and Harry came in, pulling me out of the room and into the corridor as they hushed my protests of being ripped from what was most likely my only safe haven now.

"(y/n), I got into the restricted section, last night."

"Did you find anything on Nicholas Flamel?"

Shaking his head he looks down, holding his tongue as a stray student moved by us. Heading to the library.

"Filch almost caught me in the restricted section, but I ran into Snape and Quirrell. They were talking about something."

"They're professors, they were probably talking about teachings."

he shakes his head as he looks at me. "Snape said something about Quirrell not wanting him as his enemy, and to make sure he knew where his loyalties lie."

Raising a brow I looked at the two. "What does that mean?"

They shrugged. "We were hoping you had some sort of idea, you've been hanging out with Snape a lot. It's actually kinda weird."

Ron stated to me before Harry hit his arm. "Ow! Well she has."

Shaking my head I sigh gently. "Whatever, I won't be in his class outside of potions class anymore. I don't know what's going on, but I don't think Snape is bad."

"You don't think Snape is bad? Are you actually insane?"

Ron shakes his head as he spins around and takes a few steps.

"Don't ask me how I know, there's just something about him. He's misunderstood, he makes mistakes as everyone does."

They glance at each other for a moment. I go to take a step away and they grab me again.

"You should see  mirror I found, it showed me my parents. It showed Ron him holding the Quidditch cup and being captain."

Raising a brow I look at the two. "You want me to go look into a mirror, that tells you your greatest desires?"

"Is that what it does?"

Nodding gently, I look at the two. They make their faces at me to get me to agree to it, which makes me sigh. "Fine. Just this once, then I hope it gets moved."

Following the two into the restricted section of the building, all three of us under the invisibility cloak that Harry had gotten for Christmas. Once we were in the dusty room, Harry pointed over to the large mirror. Walking over to it, my reflection getting better the closer I got.

Standing in front of it for a second I raise a brow. Watching the object move in the mirror as if it was with me, I blinked gently.

"What is it?"

I shake my head and turn to the door we came through. "it's just me, come on, we're going to get caught."

They hesitate for a moment before they catch up and we head back to our dorms. Getting back to the dorms I sigh as I get into my bed. Furrowing my brows for a moment as I look at the ceiling. That mirror doesn't show the future or a truth, just what I want most.

The next couple of days came and went, and everyone was due back for the start of the term. Hermione, Ron, and Harry were in the Great Hall working on their studying when Longbottom came in with the leg-locker curse on him. Sighing gently I grabbed my wand and said the small countercurse to let him out. Going back to Harry and Ron as they were looking for Dumbledore's card.
