Dinner Date (Viper x Chamber)

/ ~ Viper! You must let me take you out some time. Dinner, dancing, I know the perfect place. ~ /

Everything was perfect and elegant. The whole place was reserved for only the two of them, no one to disturb them, yet it seems a certain agent isn't really enjoying it as much. "Remind me again, Fabron. Why did I even agree to this.. stupid idea?" Viper said while sighing, already wanting to go back inside the car even though they've just gotten here. "Well, you did agree to this, believe it or not. But I promise to make this the best date, as much as I can in my power, that is." Chamber said, offering a smile at Viper.

"Bonjour, les tourtereaux. Je serai votre serveur pour ce soir, veuillez me suivre jusqu'á votre table! (Hello, lovebirds. I'll be your waiter for tonight, please follow me to your table!)" The waiter before them said in a cheery tone, Chamber couldn't help but hold a laugh when the waiter called them "lovebirds". The scientist noticed that Chamber was trying to not hold a laugh, which he was evidently failing at on their way to the table as Chamber kept giggling silently. "What's so funny, hmm? What'd the waiter say?" Viper asked, raising her eyebrow. "Nothing, I can promise you that, chérie (darling)." Chamber said, grinning.

Once the two agents were seated, another waiter came, bowing their head whilst serving them some water along with some bread. "This place is nice, is it not?" Chamber said, admiring the agent in front of him. Viper was wearing a tight, black sleeveless dress with black heels. "You could say that, I guess." Viper said, shaking her head "Then I chose the right restaurant to take you to, hmm?" Chamber said whilst chuckling "Yes, you did." Viper told chamber. "Is there anything you'd like at this moment?" Chamber said questioningly "Actually, yes. Yes I do." Viper said "And what is that?" Chamber said. "To get back to my lab and not be in some fancy French restaurant in France." Viper said whilst shaking her head. "Ahh.. You wound me, chérie (darling). I just need you to remember you had a choice to not agree to this." Chamber grinned.

"Êtes-vous tous les deux prêts à commander? (Are you both ready to order?)" The waiter from before suddenly said. "Yes, we are. We'd both like a bottle of 1961 La Chapelle Red Wine. I'll be having a Carre d' Agneau. And the pretty lady over here would like.. Viper, what would you like?" Chamber said whilst asking "Ehh, the.. 'Soupe do Jur'?" Viper told Chamber "Amour.. No offense but it is 'Soupe du Jour'." Chamber said, trying not to giggle. "Sorry, sorry.. Your language.. It's hard to pronounce." Viper apologized "It's fine, I promise. If you ever need help with my language, I'm always the right person to ask." Chamber said while winking. "D'accord, autre chose?(Alright, anything else?)" The waiter said "No, that will be all." Chamber said, smiling at the waiter. "Très bien, je vais m'assurer que votre commande est déjà préparée en moins d'une heure. (Alright, I'll make sure your order is already prepared in under an hour.)" The waiter said, and left afterwards.

Viper looked up at Chamber. The dim candle light illuminating on his face his features softening. "Is there something on my face mon chérie?" Chamber looked back at her as she snapped out of her thoughts "I, um.. It's just that.. you look nice tonight." Viper confessed and looked away. Pink dust covered her cheeks it was barely visible due to the dark burgundy colored walls but visible enough for Chamber to see. "I must say, you also look divine on this fine night, darling. As always, of course." Chamber said, offering Viper a light chuckle.

After some light talk, their food finally arrived. "Ah, can I request for the bill now as well?" Chamber asked the waiter "Bien sûr (Of course,) The waiter said "Veuillez patienter ici un moment pendant que je reçois la facture, vous pouvez manger votre nourriture en attendant. (Please wait here for a while while I get the bill, you can eat your food while waiting.)" The waiter said and left to get their bill. As Viper ate, she couldn't help but feel as if she were being stared at, as she looked up from her food, she saw Chamber staring. "Is there.. anything wrong?" Viper asked skeptically "There's nothing wrong! I just.. love admiring you." Chamber admitted. Viper shook her head "Your food is getting cold, you know. It'd be a waste of money if you didn't eat it." Viper said "Oh, right. Of course I'll eat my food. Once I finish admiring you." Chamber said, a sly smirk visible on his face. Viper rolled her eyes at the statement the man in front of her had said and continued to eat her food. As the man did say, he'd start eating his food once he was done "admiring" the scientist bestowed before him.

"Voici votre facture. (Here's your bill.)" The waiter had arrived, just as soon as they finished eating their food. "Ah, thank you, your service is much obliged." Chamber said, nodding at the waiter. "Par carte ou en espèces? (By card or cash?)" The waiter said "By card, please. Here." Chamber said whilst handing over his credit card to the waiter. "Très bien! Je m'assurerai de le rendre une fois que nous aurons fini de le traiter. (Alright! I'll make sure to give it back once we're done processing it.)" The waiter said and left afterwards. 

"Amour, would you like to go now?" Chamber asked "Yes, please. I'm tired and I want some sleep.." Viper said in a bit of a tired tone. "Alright then, I'll make sure to contact my driver to be here as soon as possible. Do you mind waiting for a few more minutes, hmm?" Chamber hummed "Yeah, yeah. That's fine. Do you mind if I lay my head on your shoulder for a while? I'd like to take a short nap whilst we wait." Viper asked "Of course you can, mon amour. You needn't ask if the answer is already obvious." Chamber said whilst smiling. 

Once the car finally arrived, Viper was already sound asleep despite saying she'd be taking a "nap" though, it was visible that Chamber wasn't complaining at the slightest, but instead he was more than happy since he knew could use it as an excuse to carry her bridal-style on their way out of the restaurant without the scientist knowing. Well.. unless she was half-asleep, that is. The ride on the way to Chambers penthouse was quiet and not a single thing was uttered, he only enjoyed the moment by admiring Viper lovingly. Even with what they put up earlier, it was a shocker that they weren't even a thing yet. They were always so obvious between the two of them, even with Vipers normally cold demeanor it was known to everyone in t he protocol she was falling in love with Chamber as well, slowly but surely. 

When they've finally arrived at the penthouse, Viper suddenly woke up, quickly apologizing to Chamber for the inconvenience she had given him while she was taking her apparent "nap". "Viper, would you like me to carry you instead? I know that you are tired." Chamber offered the scientist "No, no. It's fine. I know you're tired as well, I wouldn't like to burden you more." Viper said whilst shaking her head. Chamber sighed in response. "Well, unfortunate for you, mon amour. But I'm still gonna carry you." Chamber said in between a light laugh. "Oh, what will I ever do with you, Chamber.." Viper mumbled, though what she didn't know was Chamber had heard her, loud and clear. "Hmm? What will you ever do with me? Let's see.. How about you kiss me, my love. Doesn't that sound nice?" Chamber offered, "Actually. That sounds like a great plan, Chamber. How 'bout I actually do, hm?" Viper said, as she said that, she drove straight in for the kiss, making Chamber caught off guard.

When Viper finally pulled away, all that was left was a star-struck Chamber, who was blushing very evidently red. "Viper, I.." Chamber fumbled with his words, not knowing what to say. "You what, hmm? For your information. I, as well, have a few tricks up my sleeves too, you know." Viper said, offering Chamber a laugh. "Of course you do.. How could a woman as charming as you not have any?" Chamber said in a hushed tone, still not recovering from what the scientist had done. "Oh, Chamber.." Viper said whilst staring at the man in front of her. "I love you too, you know that right? I know you're an idiot but you should know that, right?" Viper asked "You.. you actually do?" Chamber, was now grinning like a proud idiot. "Oh this is the best day of my life! Who knew I'd have an outstanding woman that's perfect in any way and beautiful in every angle, love me back? This truly is a dream come true. It isn't a dream though, right?" Chamber jokingly asked, "Fortunately for you, it isn't." Viper said, smiling. "And stop grinning, you look like an idiot." Viper said. "Sorry, I can't help it chérie." Chamber said whilst chuckling.

"I love you so, so much, mon amour." Chamber said while hugging the scientist, enjoying every second of the moment. "I love you more, you idiot." Viper said, hugging back the sentinel. "Oh, really? Hm, prove it then." Chamber smugly asked "And in what way is that, hmm?" Viper said, looking straight into Chambers eyes. "Kiss me, ma douce. (my sweet.)" The sentinel said, looking back at the scientist. "No objections there." Viper said as she kissed the sentinel once more.
