25. Straws

Yeonjun sighed as he swiped the mop on the floor behind the desk. Just another hour until they close.

Two days ago, jungkook had randomly come up to him and told him he could start working again. Yeonjun, obviously, was happy to be back.

He looked towards the door when he heard the ring of the bell, but soon repretted doing so when he recognized the person who walked in.

It was his uncle.

Was he after him? There's no way. They would ever want him back. Besides they don't even know where he works.

He tried to glance behind him, expecting to see his aunt, but the woman beside his uncle wasn't his wife.

It wasn't really surprising. Yeonjun always knew both of them had other plans instead of spending the rest of their lives with each other.

But that was the least of his worries now, infact it wasn't even one of them.

For now he needed to make sure this pathetic excuse of an uncle doesn't see him and find out where he's works, and now lives.

He swiftly made his way to the back and informed someone before walking towards the door which was connected to jungkook's house.

His shift was over a while ago but he had stayed longer to help around because he had nothing else to do.

Surprisingly, Mrs. Kim hasn't given anymore projects to any of her students which is very unlike her but yeonjun is grateful his life is going well.

"it's definitely one hole" beomgyu said as he put a straw in front of eye and looked through, while closing the other eye.

"beomgyu nothing that comes out of your mouth ever seems right" taehyun threw his fries at him.

They were seated in the cafeteria when Kai suddenly had the idea to bring up a random debate of whether a straw has one hole or two.

"anyone who says two is straight up stupid" soobin said as he ate one of the fries that landed on his shoulder.

"but it literally has two openings" kai grabbed his own straw which was then snatched by taehyun

"I swear if ya'll don't shut up about straws-"

"wait let's hear yeonjun's opinion" Kai stopped taehyun before he got anymore violent.

They all looked at the hooded boy who was quietly munching on his food "huh"

They all raised their eyebrows and pointed at their straws.

"oh um... one? Because it's literally one hole that goes throughout the straw, it's like common sense"

"see Kai you're alone on this" soobin leaned back.

"4 against 1, end of debate. Team one hole has won" beomgyu clapped his hands.

"why does it always sound so wrong whenever beomgyu says it" taehyun groaned wondering if it was just him and his mind.

It wasn't.

My exams just ended and I'm gonna sleep for the next 24 hours.
