CHAPTER 2: GOING HOME

After spending about an hour looking for Kanidy with Austin i was getting more and more annoyed everytime i turn over a unconsious body, that didn't turn out to be my cousin.

"This is getting on my nurves." I said sitting on the floor in the kitchen. Austin just looked at me with a face that said "I know right." and continued to search. I just rested my head on the cabinets and pulled my phone from my pocket. I pressed the power button. Nothing.

"Dammit to hell." I said to myself and stared at my lifeless phone.

"Found her." i heard Austin say, i looked up and there she was. One arm around Austin shoulder for support, her head hanging so all I could see was her short, dark brown hair with the dark red highlights. Her arm hung but yet she clutched onto the small purse she brung the night before.

"You wern't kidding when you said you guys look alike." He said lifting her chin showing her brown face that looked flushed of its normal caremel color, her eyes where low, almost closed.

"Kanidy, we gotta go." i said walking up to her. She said something that I couldnt understand. "what?" i asked. She spoke again then pushed her self off of Austin, and fell onto the end table.

"Go home Kanidy, you're drunk." Austin chuckled to himself. I looked at him and shook my head, trying not to laugh at the same time.

"Kanidy we gotta go home." i told her, mainly she did. My dad thinks I'm at her house and if her grandmother wakes up before we get back, we're screwed for sure.

"C'mon, let me help you to my car." Austin said grabbing Kanidys arm again and leading her to the front door.

"Turn right." i said sitting in the black Mustang.

"Gold all on my chain, gold all on my rang, Gold all on my watch. Don't believe me just watch. Nig-."

"Turn!" Austin was rapping to blaring music until I cut him off. Austin swurved in the car.

"Oh my god!" he screamed as we swurved towards the abandoned green and white house on the corner of the our street. My heart nearly stopped when i saw the edge of the house comimg straight for us.

I just clenched my eyes shut and hoped for the worst.

I felt the car jerk and if i weren't wearing a seat belt im sure i would have gone flying out the windsheild.

"Did we die?" is all i could manage to choke out, not even daring to open my eyes.

"No." Reliefe blew over me at the sound of Austin's voice. I opened my eyes and saw the corner of the house not even a foot away from the front bumper and Austin's pale hand still clenching firmly on the emergancy brake. My heart was still racing at a thousand miles per hour and i was trying to catch my breath.

"I'm never getting a ride with you again. " I said steppimg out of the car. My legs where shakey, it felt like my bones melted in fear.

"I don't blame you." he said finally relaxing in the drivers seat.
