*Air raid sirens blaring in the distance*

*A__ y_u ___y?*

*Is... that you good buddy?*

*A_e you o__y?*

*I... I... I don't know...*

*___ ___ ___?*

*... W... what...?*

"Are you okay?"

Travis jerked awake, gripping the side of the cushioned bench he was laying on. Not... a park bench? He could've sworn he woke on a park bench last time. Unless... that was a dream. He seemed to still be in Alchemilla, but, maybe they brought him here last night, and that whole thing was just a bad dream. Yeah... That made sense.

Then Travis noticed the worried nurse watching him from across the lobby. Young-- maybe 16, or 17-- blonde, and it looked like her uniform was less a uniform and more of a costume. Even then, judging by the LPN tag on her collar, she was pretty low on the totem pole.

"Sorry," the nurse mumbled. "Did I startle you?"

Travis shook his head. "No... you're fine."

"My name is Lisa," the nurse smiled faintly. "I'm a trainee here. Are you waiting for someone?"

"No! No." Travis rubbed his eyes and neck as the rest of his body started waking up. "I'm just... Well, I'm done here." He got up, stretching his back. Giving a small friendly wave, he started for the exit. "Name's Travis. Nice to meet you Lisa."

"You sure you're okay?" Lisa asked before he could go, causing him to stop and turn around. "You look a little shaken up... Sorry."

"No, it's okay," Travis chuckled. For such a young nurse, she was at least nicer than most professionals he'd met. "To be honest, I've been... a little off all day. I was in a fire last night-- think it boiled my brain a little."

Lisa looked confused. "The fire in the business district? How awful. I heard about that." She looked at the floor, her eyes focusing on nothing as if she were remembering being there herself. "No one knows how it got started. And that poor girl, Alessa Gillespie... to die like that..."

"Alessa?" Travis asked, getting Lisa's attention back. "She died?"

"Yes," Lisa answered like it was something he'd just know. "Sorry, did you know her?" She took a step toward him, probably some comforting instinct, but Travis backed away.

"No, but..." Thinking about it, Travis wasn't sure why he brought up any of this. All the crazy stuff that happened, it was just a dream. He could walk away right now and live with that. Lisa might be easy to talk to, but he didn't need to burden her with his nightmares. "... Never mind."
