incheon han clan. it is said that they are direct descendants of the moon goddess, named han jieun.

it is said that all offsprings birthed by the omegas of the clan would be as powerful and strong as a purebred alpha. a purebred alpha is an alpha birthed by an alpha x alpha pairing parents. in this case, despite being birthed by an omega, the alpha would have the pheromones of purebreds.

offsprings of the clan birthed by female alphas would be way stronger than any purebred alphas. including those of the han's clan male alphas.

the male alphas are the only ones that can pass down the moon goddess spiritual abilities mentioned above to their offspring. the others aren't able to.

there's a century-old tradition where the han clan would throw a "coming of age" party on the children's 18th birthday. they'll invite their few highest bidders for their children to pick their mate. usually, they're forced to pick the highest bidders.

well, blinded by the money of course. that's how the han clan earns big bucks. the highest bid so far was more than ₩20billion. crazy right? but the han clan 'sold' their alpha daughter to the crazy mafia. all for the money. the older generations never really cared about the younger generation's emotional needs.

"kids. your ceremony is tomorrow. are you ready to meet your bidders?" the alpha leader, also known as han jisung's and han jihyo's father, asked. earning a timid nod from his son and a confident grin from his daughter. "good. now don't fuck it up jisung you know who to choose." his words laced with venom, injecting fear into the omega.

well, technically he doesn't cause he'll only meet them tomorrow. but he knew his dad meant the 'highest' bidder.

jisung and jihyo are fraternal twins. they're the middle children. they have two older brothers, jihoon and jihwan. they're both male alphas, 23 and 21 years old respectively. jisung is a male omega, whilst jihyo is a female alpha both turning 18. lastly, jimin, she's 17 this year and is an alpha. leaving jisung the only omega in the family.

'worthless' was what his parents would call him. constantly comparing him to his youngest sister, and heavily degrading his self-esteem and worth.

"cheer up sungie" jihyo grasped jisung's hand once they walked away from their father. "yeah oppa! don't listen to what they say!" his youngest sister hugged him. "thank you" was all he said as he hugged his two sisters, silently crying.

"heh kiddo." jisung heard a low voice behind him. "hyung?" jisung looked at the two males standing at his room's doorway with wide eyes. he carefully detached himself from his sisters and threw himself at his brothers. receiving chuckles from the two.

"can we come in?" jihwan asked, to which the omega started dragging them in, closing the door behind him. the five cuddled up in jisung's queen-size bed.

"how's you and your mates?" jimin curiously asked. the five quietly talked about their upcoming family with their chosen mates and their plans. gossiped and talked shit about their money-minded parents here and there too.

"are you nervous? i'm pretty sure it's going to be different for you two." jihoon carefully caressed the twin's cheeks.

their reactions were mixed. jisung shook his head while jihyo nodded. she was very excited. but jisung was dreading it.

"i know i'm not supposed to tell you this, but you have five applications hyo~" jihoon sang happily for his sister. "one of them is daniel right? kang daniel?" she asked, earning an eager nod. "you're going to choose him?" "yeah, i know him anyways."

"good for you." jisung sulked, stealing jimin to cuddle on jihoon's lap. jimin quietly chuckled. she felt bad for her brother. most bidders tend to go for the alpha in the family. who doesn't want a child that's way stronger than a purebred alpha? or an offspring that could continue the moon goddess's bloodline.

but somehow they constantly overlook the male omegas of the clan.

"you have two bidders sungie" jihwan said comfortingly. "t-two?" jisung dryly chuckled. he couldn't help but feel inferior. all this time, grades, sports, and achievements, jihyo was constantly far better than him. gaining all sorts of praise from the parents. and now? even bidders, she still has more.

but she had never looked down on her brother. sure he's older by 20 seconds, but he's so much smaller framed than her. so, she felt the need to protect him at all costs. she spends her free time with him and shares the extra money her parents gave her with him too. jimin as well of course. to the four siblings, jisung has always been their baby.

"i'm sure they'll be great sungie" jihoon ruffled his brother's head.

that night, the 5 squeezed into the big but small bed. cuddling each other with a smile. soon the house will only just be jimin alone. she's going to absorb as many cuddles as she can now.

anyways, jisung's siblings' names all start with 'ji' because it's a form of generation title. so this generation of the han family is 'ji'. this is common in a lot of asian families where the first character of the name is the same as the siblings.
