CHAPTER TWO
≪ ◦ the name of the game ❖ ◦ ≫
season one episode thirteen

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥 sectionals were right around the corner. Roseline couldn't decide whether she wanted to throw up out of nervousness or out of excitement, either way, it'd be happening. Though they wouldn't be going to sectionals unless they found themselves a replacement adviser.

Yesterday had been chaos for the Glee club. After doing a mattress commercial that Rachel had set up for them, the company had given them free mattresses as thanks. Unluckily for them, there was a rule that competing Glee clubs couldn't be in any acting business, so when Mr. Shue slept on one of the mattresses it was either they all left or just him (they opted for the latter).

"I bet we get stuck with Mr. Sinacori as our sectionals adviser," Artie said with distaste. He, Roseline, Joey, Kurt, Mercedes, and Tina stood by the piano discussing the few options they had for advisers.

Tina scoffed, "The creepy math teacher?"

"He's always singing when he walks down the halls," Kurt interjected.

Rachel came rushing in, a look of determination written on her face. "Hey, guys. Did any of you think it was weird the way that Puck rushed to Quinn's aid during rehearsal yesterday?"

Roseline's eyes widened. It was no secret to most Glee club members that Quinn Fabray's baby was Noah Puckerman's, and not Finn Hudson's, and now the one person who they'd hoped to keep the secret from had somehow found out.

"No." Mercedes dragged out.

"I mean, he likes her." Artie stuttered, "They're friends. We all know that."

"Yeah, but it seemed like more than that." Rachel lowered her voice, "I've never told you guys this before, but I'm a little psychic." Mercedes eyed the girl in front of her, "I can't read minds or anything yet but I do have a sixth sense. Something is going on there."

Roseline placed a hand on her best friend's shoulder, "You're being paranoid, Rach." The brunette furrowed her eyebrows, "Nothing is going on. Now if you'll excuse us, we have to go."

"We have to practice."

"Oh, and we will," Kurt said, placing his bag on his shoulder. "As soon as Mr. Schuester names a faculty adviser to replace him."

Thinking she freaked them out Rachel called out to them as they left the classroom. "It's nothing to be scared of. It's not like Carrie or anything."

As the bell rang the hallways flooded with students. Mercedes, Kurt, and Tina went one way, while Roseline, Josephine, and Artie went another.
