CHAPTER FIVE ≪ ◦❖ the name of the game ❖ ◦ ≫ ↳ season one episode fourteen ↲
𝗔 𝗙𝗘𝗪 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦 after Roseline had left Rachel with Jesse at the library, the Berry girl had called her saying he'd asked her out on a date. Of course, he didn't specifically say it was a date but Rachel didn't care. All she cared about was the fact she was hanging out with Jesse St. James that Friday.
So, when Finn approached her the next day after the final bell she wasn't surprised by the words that came out of his mouth. "Did you know?" He asked, slamming her locker shut.
Roseline jumped, taken aback by the sudden loud noise that received a few glances from the other high schoolers. "Know what?"
Finn rolled his eyes, "About Rachel and her new boyfriend."
Roseline tightened her grip on her bag as she turned her body towards the Hudson boy. "Yeah," She sighed. "I met him, yesterday. He's a complete jerk and I've tried to knock some sense into Rachel but she just won't listen."
"Do we tell Mr. Shue?" Finn suggested as they walked down the hall.
"I mean we could, but I don't know how much that would help." Roseline felt bad, conspiring against her best friend with her ex-boyfriend wasn't something she had wanted to do. But, she and Finn were growing close, and they only wanted what was best for the girl.
Finally, they agreed to tell Mr. Shue. Maybe he could knock some sense into her. As they approached the choir room, Mr. Shue stood by the piano, looking over a few papers. "Mr. Shue," Finn announced. The teacher looked up at them, "We have a problem."
After a few minutes of giving their teacher a run down of the whole situation he finally spoke, "So, Rachel is dating Jesse St. James, and she doesn't find it at all suspicious?" He asked shocked. They both shook their heads, "Roseline you met the guy right?"
Roseline nodded, "He is not someone who would just go around dating Rachel without an ulterior motive." Finn gave her an offended look, "Finn, that's not what I meant."
Before Finn could answer, Mr. Shue interrupted. "Okay, I'm going to head down to Carmel High and see if I can talk to their choir director about this. Roseline, is there anything else you can tell me about the guy?"
Roseline shook her head, "I only know the parts Rachel told me, but maybe I can come and try to get him to leave her alone?" Mr. Shue nodded.
The three left the choir room, Finn going home, and Mr. Shue and Roseline heading to Carmel High to see what was going on.
