Castle
"Regina, dear. Don't you understand that the king won't care what kind of personality you have. As long as you're beautiful..as long as you do as he says." Cora raised her eyebrow and waited for Regina to respond.
"Well...that's not very nice." Regina shrugged and walked around the dining area with her hands laced in front of herself. "He should want to marry me because he sees me for the women I am. Not the women he expects me to be." She challenged, raising a perfectly manicured eyebrow. Was this really happening...tonight she was to be wed to the king. Every women's dream was to be queen! All except Regina..all she wanted was love, love and acceptance. The two things she was being denied right this moment.
"No more discussion about this!" Cora waved her hand, and in a puff of purple smoke Regina and Cora were sitting in the carriage provided for their trip. Regina sat her hands in her lap and played with them.
How could her own mother do this to her, want this for her. She was basically trying to make Regina unhappy...and it was working. It really was. Regina closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the carriage, letting out a shallow breath. "Mother...? Why must I marry the king..." She said barely above a whisper and stared at the clock in the corner. It sounded much louder than usual and it was making her tick herself.
"Because, dear you were destined for greatness. To coming the queen! To follow in the footsteps your mother has laid out for you...you really think I'd let you decide your own fate?" Cora laughed dryly and sighed. "Stupid girl." She snarled snapping her fingers and changing Regina's whole outfit. "Mother! That is the third time you--!" She looked down at her outfit and gasped. "Mother no! I will not wear this!" She growled, her mother snapped her head in Regina's direction and let off a growl of her own. "Excuse me!? You will do as I say! Mother knows best." She was now dressed in a tight black corset that was very uncomfortable. She could feel that the entire thing was pressed flat against her skin. It was a purple dress that went all the way down to her feet and had lace lace covering it. Her hair was up in a high queen fit bun and a crown already placed on her head. Her mother would have called it a temporary until the real one would replace it. Her boobs were pushed up so far she could barely breathe. She gulped and squeezed her eyes shut, groaning softly. "Dear, please don't make this harder on yourself. Your interests are no longer for your own benefit...you're here to please the king, and the king alone." She sighed. Regina stayed quiet! That was probably her best option.
"Understood!?"
"Yes, mother."
The carriage ride was awful! Long and it felt like it drug on forever. The only reason she couldn't go to the caste with her magic was because the king didn't know who had it, and if she used it to show up at his home he would surly not accept Regina's hand in marriage. He hated magic! Hated it. That was one good thing Regina found about the king. She wouldn't ever have to deal with her mother using magic on her again, well as long as she was in the castle.----------------------------------------------------
King Locksey
"Your majesty..." Cora greeted with a bow and she smiled.
"Your majesty" Regina said with a bit less feeling and she bit her lip softly.
"Regina. You don't have to call me that! You'll be my wife soon...it's Robin." He smiled and kissed Regina's hand once before giving it back to her. He looked over her outfit and cleared his throat, pulling her closer to him. Regina gasped and stumbled a little bit, going stiff. He cleared his throat again and bent down so his lips were brushing her ear, his breath down her neck and she gulped, "we will find you a change of clothes when we get inside..." He whispered slowly backing away. Regina let out a relieved sigh and nodded thankfully. She picked up her dress a little so it wasn't dangling on the stairs and so she didn't trip. She walked up the stairs and followed Robin to her bed chamber, Cora following close behind. "Get comfortable Regina...the castle is now yours just as much as it is mine." Robin whispered.
Regina couldn't even look at him..not because he was evil! Or awful! He actually was quit gentle and sweet toward Regina. Well...from what she'd seen so far at least.
"Thank you, You- Robin..." She whispered and nodded her head in his direction, walking inside.
"Cora. This way...I'll show you to your room."
"I could stay with Regina! I really don't mind." She whispered nervously. Regina's breath caught and it didn't go unnoticed by Robin. He knew something was off there just by their interactions...
"No. I don't think that's a good idea...especially if I'll be visiting my fiancé later on." He said sternly. This also made Regina's breath catch and she turned around, squeezing her eyes shut and letting out a shallow breath.
"Now...this way Cora."
Cora didn't hesitate any longer, she just followed Robin through the caste without a word. Regina immediately ran to her closet and pulled out a silk pajama dress. She wanted to be more comfortable. She bit her lip and laid down against the bed, sighing softly. Great...so her 'wifely duties' began tonight? Right away...? She whimpered and closed her eyes.
There was a knock on the door and she squeezed her eyes shut, nodding slowly. "Come in!" She called.
"Regina..." It was Robin. She shuffled more on the bed and laid down, "so...are you here so-" robins eyebrows crinkled and he immediately caught on, this was about what he said before he took Cora to her room. "Oh! No Regina! No..." He sighed and stepped in further.
Regina sat up quickly and her hair hung over her shoulder delicately, her legs together and her hands resting on her knees. "No?" She whispered softly.
"No. I only said that because...I can see the stress between you and Cora. You didn't want her in here so...I had to say something that would make it perfectly clear to her that she wasn't welcomed in here."
Regina nodded and bit her lip, laughing drying. "Well...thank you for that." She whispered softly and smiled. "That's nice of you." She sighed and looked down.
"I just want you to feel comfortable." Robin nodded with a sigh. "I'm going to ask a maid to draw you a bath. Have a nice rest Regina." Robin walked out and shut the door carefully.
Regina sat on the bed and smiled softly, "that would be lovely!" She slowly stood up and walked to the mirror, looking at herself quickly. The king had showed her such kindness. Why? He doesn't even know her...he wouldn't ever know her...she wasn't about to let a random stranger in. She wouldn't. The maid walked in and smiled,
"My queen?"
"Call me, Regina."
