FLASHBACK
------------

"Good morning, Regina."

"Robin." She nodded her head at him, looking at him through her vanity mirror. "Is there something I may do for you?" She asked softly.

"Yes, actually. I am having a maid come up here and she's going to bathe you or...get the bath ready for you."

Regina didn't like how he didn't even really give her a choice on whether she wanted a bath or not. "Alright..."

"And then I would like for you to come into the village with me? I need to go to the fresh market."

"Huh...? Don't you have maids do that for you?"

"Well yes, but a lot of times I enjoy getting out and doing things myself. It's a great time."

"Alright...I'll go with you." Regina slowly turned back around, brushing her hair.

"Great."

"What is this?"

"That would be a plum, love. They're tasty! Here...try." Robin gently picked one up out of the basket they were in and held it up to Regina's lips.

Regina looked into robins eyes and slowly moved in, parting her lips slowly and sinking her teeth into the delicious fruit. "Mm..." She moaned happily and Robin chuckled.

"M'lady..you've got some-" he didn't say more, he reached up and wiped the small piece of fruit that went stray on Regina's bottom lip, dusting his thumb over her bottom lip. "Much better..."

Regina's breath caught in her throat and she froze for a moment as he kept eye contact with her, his thumb gently dusting across her bottom lip. She cleared her throat after a moment and nodded. "Thank you..." She whispered softly.

"Don't thank me." He sighed softly and looked around the market, looking for more things he wanted to purchase. "Regina, what is something you really love?"

"I really love apples, why?"

"Cause that has just made it to the top of our shopping list!" He took her hand and began jogging through the lines, down the center of the market. The market was outside and in the center of the village. Regina gasped and giggled quietly, "Robin! Slow down..." She whispered and he stopped, "oops?" He chuckled softly.

"Here. Apples. Pick as many as you'd like."

Regina smiled and bit her lip, approaching the bin. She got a small bag and she filled it to the top, "that good?" She asked shyly.

"Perfect..."
----------------------------------------------------
The day went on and by night fall they were still out. Robin took Regina's hand and pulled her out towards a fountain where they had perfect view of the sky, full of stars.

"Here lay down!"

"Robin? What are we doing?" Regina asked but she did as he asked, laying down beside the fountain on the dirt ground, waiting for him to tell her what they were doing.

"Look at the sky! See all the stars..they're beautiful."

Regina hummed and bit her lip, "they are, but-"

"You know how some people play that game with the clouds? Like...find whatever shapes or figures you can in the clouds? I like to do that with the stars! It's prettier. Here I'll go first!" Robin scanned the night sky for a minute and then gasped, "found one. See that group of stars to your left..." He used his fingers to point out to where he was talking about.

"I do."

"I see...a ring! With..a diamond as the stone and a bunch of jewels surrounding it."

"How do you know it's diamonds and jewels?" Regina asked softly.

"That's the fun of it! You get to take what you see and..make up the rest." Robin sighed and laid his hands over his chest studying the sky.

Regina never realized that a king could be like this..just laying under the stars, playing games, spending all day to just shop. "Okay.." Regina smiled. "Look to your right and straight ahead..." She pointed to where she was talking about. "I see..a baby! And the stars at the top of him make up some hair, I see him in a monkey pajama set." She giggled.

"Monkey pajamas?! I've never heard of such a thing!" Robin laughed softly and sighed.

In the Enchanted Forest everything was very elegant! They would never dream of putting monkeys on baby clothes. That just would be to absurd.

"Exactly. That's why it's my imagination!"

"Ah. The student teaching the master. I see" Robin laughed.

"What! I didn't know you could be a master at this game!"

Robin turned to Regina and scoffed playfully, "oh you can! ready. The first one to come up with five different things wins and is hence, the master of this game. Deal?"

"Oh you're on!" Regina giggled and they both laid flat on their backs again.
----------------------------------------------------

Regina sighed and smiled at Robin as he walked her up to her bed chamber. "Wow, Regina tonight was the most fun I've had in a very long time. Thank you for agreeing to join."

Regina couldn't wipe the smile off her face, she was all smiles and earlier she was all giggles. She looked over at Robin and sighed, "oh please don't thank me! This was the most fun I've had in all my life really." She shrugged and leaned against her door.

Robin frowned at that and sighed. "Well...I'm determined then to make this type of day happen a lot more often."

That made Regina's smile soften even more if that was even possible. What was she doing? What was this feeling inside her chest? A feeling of warmth and contentment. And her stomach? She felt her stomach doing summersaults. She'd never felt these feelings before.

"I would like that a lot..." Regina whispered softly and looked into robins eyes, smiling softly at him and biting her lip, shifting from foot to foot.

"As would I." Robin sighed and gently took Regina's hands, kissing each of them softly. Regina's throat felt more dry than usual and she blushed softly.

"Well...thank you for today, Robin."

"Thank you, M'lady."

Robin leaned in and gently kissed Regina's cheek, it was soft and his lips lingered there for a moment before he slowly pulled away, smiling at Regina.

"Goodnight, Regina."

"Night..." Regina said barely above a whisper. She walked into her bed chambers and shut the door, bringing her fingers to ghost over her cheek and smiling softly. She didn't know what she was thinking or what she was feeling but...she was starting to think that this wasn't so much of a prison as she thought. Maybe she could learn to love it here...she was starting to.
