Regina bit her lip and stared out the window as the carriage went down a winded path through the forest. She was wearing a simple red gown with her hair down hanging over her shoulders and down the front of her body. She clasped her hands together and looked over at Robin. "What?" She giggled when she noticed he had been looking at her. "Nothing...you just look very beautiful this morning." He smiled and Regina blushed a deep red. "Thank you." She sighed and faced him more.

"Please tell me where we're headed!" She groaned and leaned her head back against the black leather seat of the carriage. "Don't you think your wife deserves to know where you're taking her?" She asked with a raised eyebrow and Robin chuckled. "Hmm..nice try!" Regina rolled her eyes at him and bit her bottom lip. "Okay well...gosh Robin just please tell me!" Robin laughed loudly and didn't even answer. He looked out the window as Regina pouted her lip out and crossed her arms. "Mean." She grumbled.

Robin turned to her and kissed her cheek delicately. The feeling of his lips was nice...his lips were warm and gentle. He set his hand over hers as he kissed her cheek and gently nuzzled his nose against her cheek. It was the smallest of gestures but it spoke volumes in Regina's heart. Regina looked at Robin and bit her lip, a nervous smile on her lips.

"What is it, love?" Robin gave her hand a small squeeze.

"I just-" she paused and looked down letting out a long sigh.

"Hmm?"

"Why- I mean...ever since I...I kissed you. You haven't really-"

Robin knew where this was going and nodded his head, kissing her hand once and interrupting her sentence politely. "Regina, I won't rush you. I'm not like most of the men who live here...I don't expect anything of you. This is all new territory for me...I know that when you're ready you'll kiss me again, you haven't since then and I won't pressure you or make you feel like it's your 'duty' as my wife to please me and do whatever I want. We go at your pace. I knew going into this that you weren't even fond of the idea of marrying me....now look how far we've come."

Regina smiled at everything he said, latching on to every single word. He had a way with words that made Regina's heart leap out of her chest and her stomach dance in circles. He was a perfect gentleman in every sense of the word and he genuinely just wanted to get to know Regina. She wasn't some prize to him. She wasn't some toy he could use and dispose of when he wanted! She was his wife, his companion, his equal. Regina liked the idea of that...it was an unusual concept to her because of what she had heard and seen so much of, but she was happy with it.

Robin helped Regina out of the carriage stopping her just before she jumped out. "Wait! Malady a huge puddle is right below the carriage." He sighed and gently scooped Regina up. "Woah! Wai-" Regina gasped and slowly eased into Robin. "You're strong." She mumbled. "You're little." Regina giggled and bit her lip. Once Robin stepped over the Puddle he set her down in the clean grass. "Didn't want you to mess up your beautiful dress or shoes."

"You're sweet." Regina giggled and gently cupped robins cheek in one hand. "The perfect gentleman." She kissed his cheek gently before turning around and beginning to walk. Robin smiled and sighed happily. "Well...we're so used to the castle...I thought it may be nice if-"

They came in front of a beautiful cabin with lights surrounding the roof and the cabin was a beautiful oak wood. There was a porch that went all the way around the cabin and two rocking chairs set out front. The porch had two small steps coming off of it and there was beautiful hanging plants around the front of the cabin. Regina slowly turned to Robin her mouth open slightly and she let out a shaky sigh. "Robin...this is beautiful...I-"

Robin took Regina's hands and kissed each of them. "I wanted to do something special for you. You've been so amazing to me and so...accepting of our situation. I thought I'd get you away from the castle." He smiled and wrapped his arms around Regina's waist gently. Regina looked back at the cabin and bit her lip. "You're just...oh thank you Robin." She immediately leaned her back against robins chest and took in the cabin.

"Wanna walk inside? I'll give the tour!" Robin smiled brightly, pulling away from Regina and taking her hand, helping her up the stairs. Regina nodded frantically and walked inside with Robin.

A gasp ignited from Regina's mouth and she put her hand above her heart, looking at Robin in awe. There was a beautiful living room area with a rocking chair and a sofa that was cushioned with red cushions. A black blanket laid over the back of the couch. It was in front of a beautiful fire place with wood already stoked inside for later that night. Regina stepped further into the house and looked at the kitchen. It was simple but that was perfect for Regina...she'd never seen anything so cute and homey looking.

The kitchen had a big counter space and a stove made for cooking meals on. The fridge was black and pushed against the back wall.

"Come on...I'll show you the rooms?" Robin took Regina's hand and brought her down a narrow hall way. Regina's eyes were fixated on everything, taking in all the beauty and all the effort put into this. Robin sighed and stopped at the first room. "This would be the bathroom!" He laughed and flipped the light on. Regina smiled brightly and stepped inside, there was a one person mirror with a small sink and a beautiful big shower with a bath tub included and a toilet beside that. Regina smiled and bit her lip, hugging Robin. "It's perfect.." The entire cabin was all red oak. He smiled and took her hand leading her further into the cabin.

The next room was a bedroom. A queen sized bed with a beautiful handmade quilt and pillows on each side of the bed. There was two separate dressers and a huge vanity with a mirror in front of it. Robin blushed and looked at the room. "This-this was supposed to be our room! But- but you're not ready yet so that's okay! I...here." He took her hand and pulled her across the hall where there was an identical room but the bed was fit for one person. Regina came to a realization. She looked up at Robin and bit her lip.

"You...you had this place made? For us?" Her eyes got watery.

"Yeah.." Robin whispered shyly. "I-I figured it might be a nice get away." Regina smiled and nodded, she took her luggage from robins hand and turned around walking into the bedroom he had planned for them. She set her back down and started unpacking her stuff. "I'll be sleeping in here." She nodded. Robin sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh..okay..so I'll take the guest room then?"

"No...you'll be sleeping in here with me." Regina turned to look at him. A huge smile spread across robins lips and he sighed. "Alright! That's...alright." He couldn't keep the happiness out of his voice and it made Regina smile. "Hmm...it is alright isn't it?" She giggled.

She walked up to Robin and cupped his cheeks. "This is....so amazing Robin. I...I love it." She slowly leaned up and kissed Robin for the first time since their first kiss. "Thank you." Robin smiled brightly and pulled her into a tight hug. "I'm so happy you like it." Robin backed up and smiled.

"You unpack and I'll make us dinner!" Regina smiled brightly and hummed. "Hmm...look at us..already doing each others chores." She joked, because normally in a marriage in the enchanted forest the women were expected to cook the meals and the men did their own laundry. Robin laughed out loud and nodded. "Hmm...looks like it."
-------
For dinner Robin made a beautiful salad and some hamburgers. They sat on the couch together in front of the fire and ate.

"Mm...very impressive, chef Robin!" Regina giggled and bit her lip.

"Why thank you!" Robin pretended to bow and Regina set her empty plate aside. "I'm full now..." She stretched and yawned. Robin smiled and pulled her closer, setting his plate down. "Tired?" He asked softly. "Very!"

They were already both in their sleep wear so that was easy. "Let's go to bed then...we can get up early tomorrow." Robin smiled and Regina nodded. "Alright." They both stood up and slowly walked into their room together. Regina bit her lip and slowly got under the covers, robin sighed and shut the light off before climbing into bed. It was awkward the first few minutes, they sort of just laid there but Robin decided to try and make things more comfortable. "Is it alright if I hold you?" Robin smiled shyly. "You may." Regina turned with her back to Robin and he wrapped his arms around her waist snuggling close. Regina smiled and hummed softly, turning around and burying her face into robins neck.

This gesture surprised Robin but was definitely not unwanted. "Night Robin..." Regina sighed. "Goodnight..." They both closed their eyes and slept peacefully together.
