As soon as Liam heard that Braden's team had made it into the championships he wanted to go to the game. He went straight home and begged his mom to take him. His mom had to work so he begged his dad. And of course he said yes, but only if Liam did all his chores. Liam scrabled to the upstairs bathroom and cleaned it until you could see your reflection in the floor. His father came in to aprove and agreed that it looked good.

Liam had two days until the big day and he had plans. First, he went to the craft store after school and picked up a bunch of craft supplies. He convinced his parents that it was for a science poster. He spent all night placing every piece of glitter perfectly, every single letter in Braden's name had to be perfect. Suddenly, he check the clock and it was 3:00am on a school night. He quickly cleaned up his supplies and placed his poster just right so it would dry and be hidden at the same time. He quickly slipped into his bed.

The next day, Liam headed off to school, but closed his door so he wouldn't have to worry about his dog messing up his poster. He spent all his free time convincing his friends to go to the game aswell. His plan was to get all of them to go, then call in sick, and then sit at the other end with his poster for Braden. He avoided Braden all day so he wouldn't have a chance to ruin the big surprise. As he was sitting in math he realized that all of Braden's team mates would be there, so he decided to make a new poster that has a reference that only Braden would understand. Liam thought about it all day. Maybe something that has to do with Cobra Kai or maybe a anagram with both of their last names. He ripped out a piece of paper from the back of his notebook and made a list of ideas.

When he got home he ran straight up to his room to work on his new poster. He worked for hours, glueing, drawing, painting. It was all gonna be worth it when he saw Braden read his poster and smile that signature smile. Liam worked harder than he worked on his final project in 7th grade. Liam missed dinner and his mom came to check on him. She knocked twice, but Liam had headphones on blasting the playlist Braden made for him. "Liam? That's not a science poster." His mom said sitting on the floor next to him. Liam took of his headphones and tried his best to cover up the poster. "Is this for a girl? Is she going to Braden's game? I can't belive I have to work." she says nudging his shoulder. "Oh, yeah. A girl. She's going to the game, so I gotta work on this." he said basically shooing away his mom. She rolled her eyes and left. Liam held up his poster and smiled. It's finally done.

The day of the game comes and as acording to plan Liam calls in sick with his friends. His dad drives him to the game and drops him off. "I'll text you when the games done." he says leaning in the passenger side window. Liam goes in and sees his friends on the other side of the arena. He finds a seat close to the ice and waits for the players to come out. "Introducing the home team (insert team name here)! With their star player Braden O'Donnell!" the anouncer annouces. Braden skates onto the ice and waves at Liam. Liam smiles and unrolls his poster. Braden smiles and starts blushing. Liam looks down at his sunset painted poster that reads "we'll always have the sunset, go be a star" in white foam letters with two black sillouettes of people sitting on a ledge.
