(Not proof-read. TW: Homophobia)
Liam and Braden walk into school together, wearing their matching black hockey sweatshirts. Everyone was staring at them. Everyone they passed. Word traveled to their shared best friend Guthrie that they had arrivied. "Hey, Liam, Braden." Guthrie said running up to them. Cole and Edwin weren't far behind. "We just wanted you to know that what happened on Friday doesn't change anything." Guthrie says. Braden cringes. Cole whispers something in Guthrie's ear. "And we accept you?" it comes out more as a question than a statement. "So, you should sit with us at lunch. If you don't already have plans." Edwin chimes in. Liam nods along. He's never really been close to Braden's friends (except Guthrie) and now that their a couple at school he has to hang out with his friends more. "Hey, it's my favorite homosexuals!" Karsen yells. "What did you just say?" Guthrie says crossing his arms. "I was asking if they forgot their dresses at home." Karsen curtsies. "Bro, shut up." Cole says, standing by Guthrie's side. "Damn, I'm just joking." Karsen says jokingly putting his hands up in surrender. "Bro, that was really homophobic." Edwin says standing on Guthrie's other side. "I'm not homophobic, right Braden?" Karsen says leaning to look at Braden. Braden looks away. "He just can't take a joke. Obviously, I was joking. I'm not homophobic, I just think it's weird to see two of my friends dating." Karsen says. The three guys in front step toward him grimiceing. "Damn, bunch of fucking f*gs." Karsen says walking away. Everbody present gasps. "Hey, Karsen! Better watch your back come recess time, punk." Guthrie yells. Everybody looks in his direction. The three guys turn around and Liam and Braden are gone.

As they were arguing, Liam and Braden snuck away to the library. The take a seat on the ground in the far back aisle that no one goes in. "Did we do the right thing?" Liam asks cuddled into Braden's side. "Maybe, but there's no changing it now." Braden says wrapping his arm around Liam. "We should never come to school again and spend our days hanging out with your dog in your basement." Liam says. "Agreed." Braden says. Then they sit in content silence until the bell rang. They had to part ways for TA. Braden was in a TA with people that he didn't really like, but Liam was in TA with all of Braden's friends. Karsen, Guthrie, Cole, and a few more. He walked to TA as slow as possible. "Liam, wait up!" he heard from behind him. He turned around and there was braden's friend from class John. John wasn't that tall, but he was really funny. He had a set of eye lashes that girls would sell their soul for. They walk together in silence. "So, you and Braden....." John says awkwardly. Liam nods. "That's cool." John says. Liam stays silent. "Good thing cause Braden's been crushing on you since like the begining of 7th grade. I was getting kinda tired of hearing about how cute he thought you were." John whispers. The thought alone was enough to make him blush. Braden thought he was cute! Yeah, he'd heard him say it, but to know that someone else knew that he thought Liam was cute was enough to make him faint. John and Liam take a seat next to eachother. The rest of Braden's friends shuffle in a group. Guthrie and Cole right behind them. "Yo, Liam." Guthrie says sitting next to him. "So, what did everyone do this weekend?" his TA asked. Karsen raised his hand eargerly. "I know Liam was busy cozing up next to his boyfriend!" Karsen taunts. His friend burst out laughing. Guthrie stands up, but Liam (with a sudden wave on confidence) pulls his hand to sit him back down. Guthrie looks over with a sorta pleading look and Liam shakes his hand. "That's enough." the TA says, not even adressing the homophobia.

Lunch rolls around and Liam nervously takes a seat with Braden and the other guys. "Are you really gonna fight Karsen at recess?" Braden says with his mouth full. "Hell yeah. Homophobia is not a vibe." Guthrie says. "So, Liam. You watch Cobra Kai?" Edwin says. Liam nods. "Have you finished it? Like the new season and everything?" Edwin asks. Liam nods. "We watched it together. I took your advice with the themed snacks." he says. "I told you it would be great. You need to trust me more." Guthrie says. Braden laughs. Liam watches Braden talk. Not in a creepy way. He's willing to look like a creep if it means he can see Braden smile just one more time. "8th graders, it is now time to head out side if you want to." the monitor says. Guthrie rolls up his sleeves and cracks his knuckles. "You guys are my back up, right?" he says as they head outside. "Duh."  Cole and Edwin say at the exact same time. Guthrie walks right up and punches Karsen across the face. Karsen hits the basketball court with a loud thud. He stays down. He's not unconious or anything. He just stays down. Hannah runs over. "What the hell, Guthrie?!" she says helping Karsen up. "He wouldn't apologize for being homophobic." Guthrie says. Cole and Edwin go to his sides. "All I said was that I was surprised that Liam and Braden had started dating." he looks at Hannah with innocent eyes. "You're over reacting." she says. Karsen walks away and sticks his tonge out. Guthrie lunges at him, but Cole and Edwin hold him back. "What's going on here?" the recess monitor says with her hands on her hips. Guthrie scoffs and walks away.

After school, Liam goes over to Bradens house. "Uggghhh." Liam sighs as he collaspes onto Braden's couch in the basement. "Today was choatic." Braden says sitting next to him. "On that note, do you wanna watch this show I heard about?" Braden says reaching for the remote and turning the TV on. "What show?" Liam says stilling laying on the couch, not even looking at the TV. "It's a surprise." Braden says scooching farther onto the couch and putting his feet up. Liam crawls over and lays in his arms. The red netfix logo plays and they relax into eachother. I guess today wasn't a total shit show.
