Mikes pov:
I got up from my comfortable spot on the floor wiping off the dust on my pants. "Follow me, we need to go somewhere.." she looked around at all the talking people."More private" she finished grabbing my hand pulling me into the nearest bathroom.
"What's up? Is something wrong?" I asked studying her facial expression carefully"Look Mike, I don't know how your gonna take this but I mean it in the nicest way possible" she started carefully looking at the floor before making eye contact with a worrying expression cast across her face.I grabbed her shoulder supporting her reassuring that she can tell me what she needed to say."i think we should break up, not that i don't love you! I love you but in a friendship way..I also have feelings for someone else." She said softly trying to say it fast not to hurt my feelings
"who do you like?" I smirked bumping her shoulder a bit, she let out a sigh some of the tension leaving her now not so stiff body."max..max I like max" she said honestly, I jumped around squealing like a little fan boy before grabbing her shoulders looking her dead in the eyes."really!!?" I said with excitement, my happiness showing like a small kid that ate way to much candy."Well yeah! I honestly did not expect this reaction from you!" She giggled letting her body ease."Well to be completely honest I have a bit of a crush on someone to" I said rubbing the back of my neck blushing slightly.
"Who who who whooo!!!" She said pushing me for answers with the widest smile on her face."Will I like will" I said softly looking down my face as red as a tomato."Ship!!!" She said punching my shoulder jokingly. I smiled at her a wave of relief washing through my body as I thought of the fact that one of the things on my list was now done.
"We are still friends right?" I asked slightly nervous shuffling my feet on the hard tile of the floor."Uh duh! Best friends!" She said nudging me slightly, I smiled sighing in reassurance.
"Now come on you have a girl to get!" I said pushing her out of the bathroom in the direction of my living room.She shyly walked over to max who was sitting by the fire place.
Els pov:I saw max sitting by the fire by herself I knew this was my chance to talk to her."So how has life been?" I asked sitting next to her trying to give her a reassuring smile but I bet it looked goofy because she started laughing
"Hey!! What are you laughing about?" I said fake pouting a bit"Your face was so funny!" She joked her laugher turning into a little giggle."Not as funny as yours!" I said placing my finger on her nose with a wide grin on my face
She swatted my hand away playfully before pulling me into a warm hug."I missed you so much El!" She said holding onto me tightly.
Everything seemed to slow down as it felt like it was just me and her the room consisted of quiet Christmas music and the crackle of the fire. Her warm hug felt like a wonderful winter wonderland for my heart. She was absolutely perfect it felt like our body's matched together perfectly like hot coco to marshmallows. She smelled like fire and pine trees and she reminded me of all the fun times we had together only making me sink into the hug. It was me and her. Her and me, forever and always this memory is one to remember.
I let go of the hug holding a tight grasp on her hands as I stared into her beautiful blue eyes that reminded me of the cold icy snow yet a warm fuzzy jacket. Her hands felt like little mittens to mine that I would let keep me warm any day. The fire casted a warm sunlight on her face making her beautiful features stand out. Her fiery red hair that reminded me of stars and how they shined in the night, and her lips that where cherry red looked so soft like I could kiss her forever and never get tired.
Slowly the world around us became nothing but a blur as we where in our own world, our own winter wonderland. My face crept closer to hers slowly inching in, my body seemed to move by itself as I slowly rose my hand to her face sliding my other hand in hers. My eyes fluttered shut as I could feel her soft breathing against mine. Our lips brushed together almost kissing.

"OH SHIT OH SHIT THE TURKEY IS ON FIRE!" Mike yelled from the kitchen as he grabbed will pushing him out of the way like a knight in shining armor. Will fell on the floor laughing his ass off as Mike jumped around trying to find someone to help him set out the fire.
I laughed rubbing the back of my neck still holding her hand looking into her eyes. It didn't matter that the turkey was on fire, I had her.
"THE FUCKING TURKEY IS GONNA EXPLODE" Mike yelled running outside grabbing snow throwing it on the turkey like that was gonna help. wills was having a hard time breathing as he was hyperventilating from all the laughing.
I faced back to max as the scene unfolded in front of my face. We both just sat in silence before laughing our ass off still holding hands.




I knew this was gonna be the best Christmas ever.
