A sad howl echoed through the trees as Rosalie continued her run. The sound distracted her and she crashed straight into a tree that seemed to appear out of nowhere, landing on the ground with a thud.
"Dammit." She growled out, moving to get up. She dusted the dirt and leaves from her clothes before running off again.
A few more howls echoed through the woods. It was strange and now she felt concerned. Something in her was telling her to run home. Something was wrong.
Rosalie skidded to a stop and quickly turned back, running in the direction she had just came, avoiding the tree she had crashed into.
As soon as she reached the porch, Edward was there. "There's been an attack, the new-borns are approaching sooner than we planned."
"What?" Rosalie swallowed thickly. "What's the plan?"
"The wolves are headed here, but one of them is in pretty bad shape." Edward continues just as the wolves appeared in the trees.
One of them was limping, the wolf looked familiar. It was the gray wolf with white and brown over its ears and snout.
"What's the plan?" Rosalie asked.
"Seth and I are going to lead Bella to the mountains. Much like before. You all are going to where Alice saw the battle." Edward responds calmly. "We have to go now."

The battle was over, they had won. And yet, Leah didn't feel like they had won. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she didn't hear the new-born. Not until it's arms were around her and squeezing.
Everyone's attention was drawn toward the pained yelps near the trees.
Rosalie's heart constricted in her chest, it was an odd feeling. Seeing as her heart no longer beat. But that sound horrified her and she instantly knew who it was. Rosalie, as if she had been taken over by a wild animal, attacked the newborn and, with all the emotions swirling around inside her, overpowered the younger vampire and ripped him to shreds.
The wolves had all phased and were moving toward them, all were wearing their usual cutoff shorts.
"Leah!" Seth cried out, rushing toward his sister who had also phased but was now completely naked.
The brunette was curled into a ball, pain radiating through her entire body.
Rosalie took off her jacket and lay it over Leah's body.
"The Volturi are coming!" Alice said as her and the rest of the family ran forward.
Carlisle knelt down to look over Leah. "A lot of the bones in her body are broken. Take her back to our house, we'll be there soon."
The pack knelt down and each gently moved to lift her up.
Rosalie tensed and growled when she heard Leah release a pained cry.
Edward smirked when he saw the expression on Rosalie's face.
The pack was quick to run off, being careful with Leah.
"They're here." Alice said softly.
"The Volturi?" Rosalie asked.
The Pixie-like vampire nodded her head as they got into formation.
Rosalie looked around at her friends and family and swallowed thickly.
Aro, Caius, and Marcus appeared with Jane and Demetri.
"Ah, Cullens. You have made a mess of things." Aro said calmly.
"Have we?" Carlisle said coolly.
Aro nodded his head. "A new-born army, after young Bella. Who I see is still human."
