"Hey." Leah says softly, having just woken up to find Rosalie staring down at the twins.
Rosalie didn't lift her head.
Jaxson releases a tiny squeak as he squirms in the bassinet.
Rosalie had watched over her two children protectively the entire time Leah was asleep.
"Rose." Leah says softly, trying to get the blonde's attention.
Rosalie lifted her head slowly and looked at Leah.
"Come here." Leah says, sitting up slightly on the bed.
Rosalie hesitates, glancing at the babies.
"Babe." Leah whines softly. "They're sleeping, come here."
Rosalie still hesitated.
"Rose." Leah whines again, holding her hand out toward the blonde.
"What if someone tries to hurt them?" Rosalie said.
Leah sighs softly. "Baby, they are surrounded by vampires and wolves that will do anything to protect them."
"But it's my job to protect them." Rosalie said.
Leah frowns and looks down at her hands. "We're both right here." she mumbles softly.
Rosalie looked from Leah to the babies and back to Leah and then decided it would be okay if she was across the room. She moved over to the bed and sat down.
Leah keeps her head down, feeling slightly sad.
"I'm sorry," Rosalie said.
"It's just, you made it seem like we wouldn't be able to protect them if you came over to me." Leah mumbles, not looking at her.
"I'm just scared something will happen to them. I don't understand it." Rosalie said.
Leah sighs and looks up. "We're in the same room."
"I know." Rosalie said.
"Nothing will happen to them, not with us right here and our family all over the house." Leah responds, looking back down at her hands.
Rosalie nodded, leaning in and kissing Leah's cheek.
Leah fidgets slightly, not looking up.
"I'm sorry Leah." Rosalie said.
Leah just shrugs and moves to lay back down.
"Are you mad at me?" Rosalie asked.
"There's no point in being mad." Leah mumbles.
"What do you mean?" Rosalie asked.
Leah doesn't respond, rolling onto her side.
Rosalie frowned.
A soft whine from the bassinet catches her attention.
Rosalie looked up. She stood up and moved over to the bassinet.
Lily was beginning to squirm in the bassinet, her bottom lip pouting out.
Rosalie reached in and lifted the little girl up.
Instantly, Lily curls into her and releases a soft cry.
Rosalie rocked her gently.
The baby attempts to nuzzle her chest, she was hungry.
Rosalie turned to Leah. "She's hungry." She said.
Sitting up, Leah reaches for the baby.
Rosalie moved over to Leah and held the baby out to her.
Taking her daughter, Leah pulls up her shirt and helps the baby latch on.
Rosalie sat down on the bed beside her.
Lily grunts softly as she nurses.
Rosalie looked down at their daughter.
The tiny baby was gripping at the side of Leah's breast.
"Do you think they'll grow fast since they are both part vampire?" Rosalie asked.
"I don't know." Leah responds, her eyes locked on their daughter.
"I think they will." Rosalie thought out loud.
Leah remains quiet, her attention on their daughter.
Rosalie went quiet too, sensing Leah didn't want to talk to her.
Jaxson releases a soft cry as he begins to wake up.
Rosalie looked up. She stood up and moved over to the bassinet.
The little boy was squirming, soft cries escaping him.
Rosalie lifted him out and rocked him gently.
Curling into her, Jaxson settles down slightly.
Rosalie leaned down and kissed the top of his head.
Jaxson releases a soft grunt, stretching out in her arms.
Rosalie smiled softly.
After a few minutes, Jaxson begins squirming in her arms.
"Shhh." Rosalie cooed softly.
A soft cry escapes the little boy as he continues to squirm.
"He's hungry." Leah says after she finishes burping Lily.
Rosalie swapped Jaxson for Lily.
Helping her son latch on to the other breast, Leah closes her eyes.
Rosalie sat down beside Leah and kissed Leah's cheek.
Sighing softly, Leah leans into her.
Rosalie rested their heads together.
Lily releases a soft grunt as she squirms in Rosalie's arms.
Rosalie kissed Leah's cheek.
Leah doesn't react, her eyes on their son as he nurses.
"I love you." Rosalie said.
"I love you too." Leah mumbles softly.
"I love them as well." Rosalie said, looking down at their children.
Jaxson grunts in response while Lily releases a soft coo.
Rosalie smiled widely.
Leah keeps her eyes on Jaxson, watching him nurse.
Lily was falling asleep in Rosalie's arms.
After a few minutes, Jaxson releases a soft whine as he finishes nursing.
"We have a perfect little family." Rosalie said.
Leah nods her head as she fixes her shirt before lifting Jaxson to burp him.
The little boy wriggled in Leah's arms.
Smiling softly, Leah kisses the side of his head, continuing to gently pat his back until he burps.
The little boy went back to wriggling.
Once he burps, Leah shifts him into a comfortable position.
Jaxson cooed softly.
Leaning down, Leah kisses the top of his head gently.
"We are going to be one big happy family." Rosalie said.
Leah nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we are."
