"I forgot how fast she was." Jacob jokes as the Cullens and him watch Rosalie and Leah race around the yard.
"Who? Rosalie?" Emmett asked.
Shaking his head, Jacob turns toward him. "Leah, she hasn't really ran much since the new-born war."
"She hasn't really had a reason to run." Carlisle said.
"Rosalie brings out the best in her." Esme said.
Nodding his head, Jacob smiles. "It's nice to see her so happy again." he admits.
Leah dodges Rosalie and runs in the other direction, causing everyone to laugh.
Rosalie skidded to a stop before she crashed into a tree. She spun around on her heels and bolted off after Leah.
The wolf was being extremely difficult to catch.
Rosalie was running as fast as she could but every time she thought she had Leah in her grasp, the wolf would slip through her fingers and all that would be left in Rosalie's pale hand would be a few strands of fur.
Leah barked playfully at her and ran toward the house with Rosalie right behind her.
Rosalie seemed determined to catch her before she reached the house.
The wolf jumped over the others, landing on the porch just before Rosalie reached her.
Rosalie stopped at the bottom step with a frustrated huff.
Leah turns and gives Rosalie a wolfish grin before pawing at the front door.
Rosalie climbed the stairs and opened the door.
The wolf runs inside and up the stairs to phase and get dressed.
Rosalie joined her family.
"You're getting slow in your old age." Emmett teases his ex wife.
Rosalie slapped his arm. "I'm not slow. I was going easy on her." She lied.
"Uh huh, and I don't sparkle in the sun." Emmett responds sarcastically.
Rosalie shoved him. "Shut up."
Chuckling, Emmett shakes his head. "Okay."
"I'm not slow." Rosalie said. "If I was, I couldn't do this-" She took off towards a tree and instead of stopping, her feet touched the trunk. She ran vertically up the tree until she reached the top and then floated delicately so she could sit on one of the branches. "I'm not slow." She called.
"You're slower than me!" Leah calls out as she steps back onto the porch, fully dressed.
"If I was slow, I couldn't get up here." Rosalie said, swinging her legs back and forth as she sat on the branch.
Leah rolls her eyes and looks up at her girlfriend. "You're slower than my wolf."
Rosalie jumped down from the branch and landed smoothly on the ground.
The brunette walks forward and pulls Rosalie toward her. "You're so sexy." she breathes out before crashing their lips together.
Rosalie kissed her back.
Everyone else took that as their cue to head inside.
Rosalie broke the kiss, staring into Leah's eyes.
The wolf sends her a wide smile.
Rosalie smiled back.
"I want you to meet my mom." Leah says softly.
