Xemnas fell off the roof after getting hit in the shoulder blade by Xatlyn's keyblade. Xatlyn turns around, just catching a glimpse of Xemnas falling. She summons a dark corridor to the ground level, seeing Xemnas unconscious on the ground.
Xatlyn kneels down next to his head, placing two of her fingers on his neck to find a pulse, or just any sign he's still alive. She felt the small feeling of a weak pulse, he was still alive but not stable.
Opening another dark corridor, she carries Xemnas through it. The corridor led to the Chamber of Repose. She sets him down in the chair before walking out the way she came.
Saïx and Xigbar were waiting outside. She took a step back, backing up against the wall. "What happened to Xemnas?" Xigbar asked Xatlyn, seeing her unease. "He took a wrong step." She lied. "I was lucky to be the one to find him. He's alive, but only just."
Saïx and Xigbar shared a look, not wanting to believe her, but she never gave them a reason not to. "What should we do now?" Saïx asks her.
Xatlyn pulls up her hood, summoning her keyblade. "I hold the heartless' fate in my hands. It's only fitting I take on the number I." Neither Saïx not Xigbar argued, but agreed with her.
Xatlyn, number XIII, Sprite of the Mist, was now The Countess of The Abyss. Number I.
