Hello, there. Author—Samannej—here. If you're reading this, you either finished the book or for some reason ended up here, the very last words I'd like to say.

Date An Angel was an idea I got after I finished watching the first season of Date A Live, the anime adaptation. It's no secret that I absolutely adore DAL, mainly for its story. The reason I wrote this was because I wanted to add unto the already amazing story, and in the process I created a second protagonist, Kenji.

Some parts may feel familiar to my other work, Angel of Justice, but back then I felt a lot more limited in what I could with my ideas, so this time I went all out and somehow passed the 50k word count for light novels, ending up with more than 10k+ words than the original light novel.

However, I must confess I didn't read the light novels, and a lot of the word count comes from new concepts, which make the story a bit more complex. There's still a lot I must tell, and this is definitely not the last Date An Angel title you might see, as probably became evident with the volume count.

There's one piece of illustration in this work, which I drew and realise it's subpar. I'm not a good drawer, but I wanted to draw a lot more for this one. Oh well, perhaps in the future. Maybe I could have "borrowed" some art, but that didn't feel right.

The only art I used and edited a bit is the cover picture, which was originally made by Tsunako, who's the illustrator for the original light novels! An amazing artist.

Well—I suppose that's it. Again, I want to thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this extensive fanfiction with a whiff of originality brewed into it. Until the continuation, I wish you, the reader, all the best.

And with regards, Samannej.
