It was a few days later when Anastasia was seen again. After the war in Wakanda she was off the face of the world but she couldn't run anymore, not today. The Avengers and her biological family was worried sick but not Bucky. A few fights emdured because of that but no one aside from Yelena, Alexei and Melina understood why he wasn't worried and the answer was so simple.
It was Anastasia. Anna, his Anna that knew how to take care of herself in every situation. His Anna that knew how to grief and how to run. He also knew that she would come back because she always would for him and Yelena.
Today, she was seen by Regulus who stood with James, Harry, Sirius and Hope by Remus' grave. Anna was hidden in the shadows of trees and stones of the cemetery. Frankly, Regulus had no idea how she knew where they were or how she even got here considering it's a magical cemetery but he didn't dare to ask questions, not when it's about her.
Remus had a formal memorial the day before. After all, Remus was a war hero of the first Wizarding war, not to mention an ex hogwarts teacher and a represent of the gay society and werewolves at the British ministry of magic. To be short, Remus was a hero.
But today, today was more personal. Remus, the glue of the marauders, wasn't friends to many people but the ones he had were truly the best, his family. Over the time, he grew particularly close to Regulus, against Sirius' will of course, the two shared books and ideas of magical use. Anastasia and him were close as well, he was the first person she trusted from their grouo and they had a lot of insiders and shared secrets.
Remus' grave was simple and a little disorganized but still tidy. Just very, well, Remus. His gravestone had a little moon and a star on the top of it and under it was the writing:
Rest in peace
Remus John Lupin.
Friend. Husband. Godfather. Werewolf.
March 10, 1960 - June 13, 2020Under the gravestone were antlers to represent the friendgroup because Remus died for the friend group, for his family. And they were sure to treasure that for eternity. The gravestone was actually designed by Remus himself. The lovable psycho had planned his whole memorial and interment himself because, as he said it, „no one can make it as perfect as me".
Harry and Hope were the first to go, dragging their father with him. The mood was one of pure sorrow but that was expected. Sirius stayed behind, not wanting to spend his time anywhere else but by his lover's side but even after a while he left, making his way to James' place. After a moment, Regulus made his way to Anastasia and it was silent for a while.
„You know, everyone was worried sick." he began before he chuckled humourlessly, „well, everyone but me and Jame- Bucky. We knew you'd make it. You always do."
„I needed a bit of time alone." Anastasia answered and Regulus shrugged, „It's not my business but you should definitely talk to your family. Both of them."
They were silent for a while before they, too, made their way back home. While Regulus went to his home, Anna build up the courage to go to her father. She knocked on the door when she reached the mansion and waited a bit the door opened to reveal none other than James Potter himself.
„Hey, Dad."
